Hey Streamray, how about some discreet billing?

I purchased some credits to uhm.. test the shows for a bit, and this is what appeared in my credit card statement:

STREAMRAY/CAMS.COM

C'mon guys, STREAMRAY would be plenty enough, do you have to give out the url?

:pimp

Adult Warden 09-20-2006 07:47 AM

That would suck..."Whats this honey? cams.com???"

elron 09-20-2006 07:48 AM

did you at least got off the private show ?

Jarmusch 09-20-2006 07:48 AM

LOL I bet this plays a part on many customers only buying a few credits and never rebilling again. :D

Cams.com isn't like putting doubleanalfisting.com on your credit card statements, its not synonymous with adult and seems fine to me.

Ever heard of people typing in a domain to see what's on it?

gooddomains 09-20-2006 08:07 AM

I'm sure they'd rather that than getting people calling to issue a CB. Anonymous billing has its downsides too.

But STREAMRAY doesn't have a .COM, no one would think it was a domain.

NTSS 09-20-2006 11:55 PM

thanks for the heads up...lol

xNetworx 09-20-2006 11:57 PM

The .com should be dropped :2 cents: But what do i know.

If they know anything about how to use the interweb "Streamray" wouldn't help much either

what concerns me is that after a customer signs up at an Affiliates co-branded site, and decides to go to cams.com and uses his credit card to purchase more minutes does the original affiliate still get credited the recurring commissions?

Also, like it was mentioned I think it would be nice just to put Streamray and leave the cams.com out. Affiliates would like to have stickiness to their site and have the customers keep coming back to their co-branded site instead of seeing the bill then going to cams.com.

HOPE THIS GETS A RESPONSE... :)

If he uses the same username that he registered on your cobranded site, you get credited for all his purchases, wether he purchases credits on cams.com or another cobranded site. I think that's how it works, I can be wrong.

what's the likelyhood that the average surfer will know he can do this though (use the same username and password on both sites)? There are probably tons of lost recurring revenue because of this. And in addition the customer doesn't keep coming back to your domain to browse your site.

I'm not trying to cause trouble, just think it should be addressed.

here's another situation where recurring revenue could be lost because of this billing issue. lets say the user see's the cams.com URL on the billing statement and then uses your username and password on the cams.com website. all is fine your still getting your recurring revenue. but what happens when the user loses his username and password and decides to create a new account this time at cams.com? no more recurring revenue for you.

if the cams.com URL were left out of the billing URL the customer would have no choice but to keep going back to your co-branded website. he loses his password or forgets his account? fine, he just creates a new one at your site and you still get to keep the customer and affiliate income that comes with the customer.... :2 cents:

No trouble at all, I started this thread more because of privacy issues, but I can see how it must feel funny for the customer if he buys credits at live.freepornshack.com and sees cams.com on his CC statement. How many know they can use the same username at cams.com? I don't know, not many I guess. For the record, I purchased these credits on a random cobranded site.

You must be using a cobranded site, maybe you should start sending the traffic to cams.com instead cause I don't think the folks at streamray are gonna change their billing procedures on the strenght of this thread alone. :(
