Question for sushi lovers...
 

I need to know the name of a sauce. They use it on any of the spicy rolls. It looks kind of like Thousand Island dressing, a really pale orangish color. Not ceracha (sp?).

The sauces they come up with are great. This sauce is really good and so is the eel sauce.

i love sushi, ive always wondered what that sauce was too :)

i think its the one with mayo in it? it must be just red spicy sauce with mayo?

Could it be the cock sauce?

If it is a lighter color they probably add Japanese Mayo to this sauce:)

EEL Sauce or kabayaki

Just FYI most places take terriyaki sauce and make it their own eel sauce.

Here is one recipe for it:

1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons hot chile paste
1 teaspoon hot chile oil
1/2 teaspoon toasted sesame oil

Just mix it all together.

i don't know, but i love that stuff!! had thai tonight (place called thai one on) in Whistler. My mouth is still burning... so good. now i want a sushi nightcap.

Spicy mayo / Spicy mayo sauce

I'm eating dumplings right now. Not sushi but also another delicious asian delicacy. :)
