Who makes their own DVD's with at least 1,000 of each title sold?

I could be wrong, but I would think that if a guy sits down to whack off with a DVD, he will see the ad, and go to the movie. Once he cums, it's over.

Porn is an impulse purchase, that's why the net rocks for porn. But once he cums from a DVD, the odds of him getting up to look for more porn online may be slim.

first off, talk to mike south, who posted above...he does kickass amateur southern girl shit, and he has a great following of viewers

second, I am not quite sure my buddy sells outside adverts on his vids, but I can ask when he gets back from spain/germany (vacation)....he usually does about 5000-7500 units per run and is one of the biggest up and coming porn producers out right now....he does dark, anal, perverse porn...he also has a big tit series

ads on porn dvd's are a HUGE business

ever get a porn dvd? try and fast forward through the ads....the smart editors make it so you can't fast forward or skip through them

7500 a title that is some serious selling. There is a ton of money in DVD's period, hence when you open an AVN mag these days you see the ads of PinkVisual (TopBucks) and TCG content being sold on DVD's and they are not the only ones the meatholes guys seem to concentrate a lot on it too.

Most guys wont do 5000 - 7500 a title. Not even close. The money in DVD' I think is in the foreign licensing not the pieces you can sell here wholesale. I been doing DVD's for a while and I would love to reach those numbers it is the hardest thing to do. :2 cents:

I am not sure about the ads either, a lot of compilation DVD's seem to have the phonesex ads.

Another thing to consider is all of the places that rent DVDs, people who loan them to their friends and all of the movies played in arcades and adult theaters.

There is a larger audience than just the pieces sold.

yeah, he really lucked out with the company that he got involved with, http://www.evilangel.com/, they took him under their wing when he was young in the biz because they saw something great in him, and they were right, he is outshining most of the other professionals in the same niche and field, not to mention having one of the largest porn video houses distributing his work ;)

So your buddy is Jonni Darko? He shoots some great quality stuff. Evil Angel has a very strong distribution network, and the money they make with their licensing is unreal.

I would think if it is that big of a business, all the large companies would be doing it. I know some do, but I never remember them anyway. lol

licensing? they don't license their content for the Net - what kind of licensing are you talking about?

foreign distribution - don't think it's that much - i've heard the copyright theft is really bad and there's not much the studios can do about it so it affects how much the foreign distributors can pay - i wonder what the foreign rights to a DVD from a decent studio go for in countries like England, Canada and Australia.

market is saturated for porn DVD's - if you're a little guy you'd have to have something very special to move past thousand other little guys who want distribution and more importantly sales.

the muscle and money of Adult.com and TopBucks(PinkVisual) must be pissing off some of the guard in the adult movie biz. Both have pretty mediocre content - nowhere near the quality of the better gonzo companies like Evil, RLD, ZeroTolerance etc or BangBros in the reality style content biz.
