Brad Pitt might take Cruise's spot in next Mission Impossible.

Interesting. I do think both Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise are good actors, though I do think Pitt could pull off a really cool MI type role.

An insider told London Lite: "MI:IV will not include Cruise's character, agent Ethan Hunt.

They're considering a brief mention, saying Hunt retired to live a safe life with his new wife.

"They're set on Brad taking over as a gutsy new head operative who puts together his own unique team of specialists."

Sources say Paramount is prepared to do whatever it takes to get Pitt on board, and is even willing to make him the highest-paid movie star in history, with a salary topping £21 million.

brad would be an excellent choice, just have angelina has his side kick

Buhahaha I hope they kill off Ethan in some magnificant way, then the main plot revolves around some world domination scheme being done by some crazy church organization.

Sure and Paramount will unfire him and look like pussies in the press and among peers. I really see that happening.

i used to like cruise until he went on his jihad... now i cant stand the guy nor am i willing to support him by watching his latest films...

brad on the other hand is hollywoods finest.. not in a gay sense, but i love how he is contributing to society in a positive way...

The little man's last couple of flicks have not done that well and I after bronzing his kid's poop and selling it I don't think he's going to have the same box office draw any more.

He's still a good actor but I don't think he can escape being an idiot. I tried watching War of the Worlds and I just kept seeing this freak instead of him acting.

BRAD WOULD ROCK!

carol.prime 09-18-2006 12:05 PM

Brad will surely rocks and MI IV will be a hit! :) I wonder if they would come up with Cruise-Pitt tandem on the 5th

I read some gossip yesterday that said one of the final straws that made Paramount give Cruise the axe was because during negotiations a group of a dozen Scientoligists cornered and harassed the exec to give Cruise more money. The harassment didn't work, and Cruise got booted. Apparently they did something similar for Travolta a few years back when nobody would produce Battlefield Earth. I love it, the amusement never ends with those nuts.

With that said, I can't believe they're making a fourth movie. I love the second, haven't seen the third yet.

I love Brad Pitt, he's one of my favorite actors.

Have you seen the movie "Mr & Mrs Smith" yet?

I think he could manage to slide into another secret agent role. :D

DWB 09-18-2006 02:02 PM

Great move. Pitt will kick ass in MI.

BusterBunny 09-18-2006 02:03 PM

anyone other than tom would be better:2 cents:

xNetworx 09-18-2006 02:05 PM

I thought MI3 was a very well made action film but Cruise is such a little pussy ass bitch in reality that it was hard for me to take him seriously.
