Fuck Ebay - Fuck Scammers!!

If you are a scammer I hope you die. :321GFY

No I was not scammed, but i caught someone who was trying to scam me.

Long story short, I was buying a boat on ebay, the guy said DAS (ebay's authorized shipper) was going to send it to me and handle payment transfer. So i get an email from some bogus das-paymenttrasnfer.com or something like that. No website for the domain, looks bad? The wire transfer info was to a bank in Wisconsin and they wanted me to put in the memo " e-gold account 26484" etc... The whole thing seemed funny. I never founded e-gold before but to me it looked like i was wiring money that was going to be transfered into an e-gold account which no doubt the scammer owned. I contacted DAS sent them the email and they confirmed it was bogus they never handle payment for items, amoung other things this person was saying.

So i contact the bank, they wont close the account down. DAS contacts the bank they still wont close the account down. I leave the guy bad feedback saying it is a scam. LOL i can't contact the other bidders because ebay says I was the high bidder. Yet, the scammer can click a button and contact all of them for " second chance offers". So I log into a friends ebay account to contact everyone who bid to warn them. A couple days go by, I get an email today that one of these people who had bid sent this asshole money.

What is wrong with people. It totally pisses me off that this scamming asshole still gets away with it. That i wasted hours, more so trying to prevent them from successfully getting money, then from protecting the clueless who send money to anyone online.

Nothing burns me up more then people who scam. I work too fucking hard for my money, as I am sure a lot of other people do, just to have some (typically foreign) fucking scammer steal people's hard earned cash.

It also pissed me off that sites like ebay do not educate their users more. The first thing when someone sign up an account, before they can bid should be to educate them on fraud prevention. Explain to people if you sending more then a $1,000 dont use paypal, use ESCROW, that is reputable. NEVER SEND CASH. CHECKS. Money Orders. If you accept Money orders, checks, makes sure they clear before sending. This should be drilled into people's heads. everytime they log on. Fuckers should also have a 24/7 Fraud hotline. Ebay sucks with trying to report this shit, i have never found a phone number for them.

Ebay is like leading lambs to the slaughter. If i could ever get my hands on one of these fuckers I would strangle the life out of them. It pisses me off they even tried to scam me.

usually scammers are selling something "too good to be true"

are you pissed that theres a scammer, or that you got roped into the situation in the first place?

I am pissed people are too stupid to prevent themselves from being scammed and they let these assholes get away with it. Also pissed that sites like that don't do more to educate people. I am pissed I tried to stop this but one of these morons still sent the scammer money. Makes all my efforts seem like a waste and the scamming asshole still wins in the end.

BTW, this wasn't too good to be true. NADA value was $8500 and winning bid was $7200... not a steal IMO. its ebay it typically is a little lower then actual value. Not like a 10K car i am getting for 4K etc..

A bloke over here in the UK, bid on a Harley in London, won the bid, was told the bike wasn't in London but in Italy...he told them to go fuck 'emselves. The seller contacted the second place bidder via email, told him the same thing, the bike's not in London, it's in Italy, what does the fucking idiot do......sends the money, not via paypal but by wire....guess what? The bike didn't show and he was down about £7k. Now if I was buying a Harley from eBay and the seller told me it was in Italy and not the UK, I'd either tell him to shove it, or arrange to go over and pick the bike up personally, then ride it home through Europe. The stupidity of some people is astounding.

Even if he used paypal, paypal will only protect you up to $1,000 USD. Chances are the scammer will withdraw the money before the bike is suppose to be delivered, so the most paypal can do is put a hold on his account, and collect the money only if he deposits more funds into the account, and we all know that aint going to happen. The most they will pay back is $1,000 out of their pocket.

People need to learn to use ESCROW.

I never have problems with scammers for the smaller ticket items. It's only when buying something that is either real hot, or a couple thousand dollars that the scammers seem to be an issue when going to buy.
