Los Angelinos...is this earthquake weather?

Sorry to bring up a sore subject, but someone told me that their military friend told them that there WILL BE an earthqauke in LA within the week (supposedly, there are some classified scientific indicators confirming this). That said, to all the GFYers in LA...

...is this earthquake weather? Is there something in the air?

Im preparing JUST IN CASE! :)

It is, but its been so HOT I don't even care. I think its th big fire off the 5 Frwy that is giving the Valley that creepy glow.

You're creeping me out. But I'll start packing just in case.

If you're somewhere near San Andreas fault, expect some anytime but not literally within the week. Even if there are scientific indicators/confirmations regarding this matter, earthquakes are still unpredictable.

Yup.

But fuck earthquake weather. This feels almost like the start of an East Coast Fall. I'm gonna enjoy this with my window open as long as lasts :thumbsup

Earthquakes happen miles beneath the earth's surface and are not affected by weather conditions. But you do hear people talk about "earthquake weather" all the time.

That being said, I've heard several reports in recent months that LA, well, So Cal, is supposedly "over due" for a decent size trembler and it has been a while, though not a long time in the grand scheme of things.

I was hear for the Northridge quake and I NEVER want to go through that again.

I hate to say it, but an earthquake is bound to happen soon down here in LA. And if its going to happen, it'll probably be worse than the Northridge quake. :Oh crap

I said the same thing a few days ago. We should have a good one in the next two months. If you look at the activity up the coast and based on weather patterns it should be a nice one. Prepare.

Damn, I hope we're prepared enough for our own safety.
