Moneybookers, anoehter DRAMA here

Hi,
just wanted to know if anyone has similar experience. I opened an account with moneybookers few weeks ago and until few days ago I did not use it. Then friend send me there some money, instead of wiring it to me, cause it seems to be cheaper to use moneybookers. So I wanted to transfer them to my account, added my bank account, and was waiting to get their dummy transaction tomy bank account so I could verify my bank acocunt with them. It took few days, I finaly got it, and was going back to moneybookers, looking forward to transfer the money to my account.
However, they locked account with my money meanwhile!! Saying something about verification of ID and similar things and that I need to send copy of ID by mail. So I send them email. Two days ago. Email if I can send my ID by email as well. No reply. Sent another email, no reply. Tried to call the customer service as well. Not helpful really. Just said to me to send copy of ID by email. Did that. No reply. Today I sent email from another account in case it went into their spam filter. No reply so far.

I am asking you if anyone have had similar problem with them and what do you suggest to do for me to get my money from them? Its several hundreds USD and I really want them! I am used that customer sevice replies to my email within few hours, doesnt matter if it was epassporte, ccbill, whoever. Always got at least some kind of reply. Nothing from monebookers. What should I do??

Thanks!

Moneybookers no longer do adult.

ffmihai 09-14-2006 03:21 AM

huh! Knowledge Is Power indeed

msan 09-14-2006 03:30 AM

I don't think there's moneybookers customer support here though.

kuthi123 09-14-2006 03:38 AM

they are late at replying emails wait some more days

Klen 09-14-2006 03:40 AM

That's way epassporte is best.

Dirty Dane 09-14-2006 03:46 AM

amateurczech 09-14-2006 03:58 AM

Never had a problem here. I use them alot. Their CS is a bit slow tho. Sometimes you wait a week or so to receive a reply. Once you get known, they reply faster. Now they reply to me even on weekends.

nojob 09-14-2006 07:15 AM

I never had a problem using them before, but I have heard of senerios like that. Sounds like a paypal stunt.

amateurczech 09-14-2006 07:51 AM

and how did end these things you heard?? happy end or possibly even money lost? can that even happen that they wont give or return the money??

collegegirlscash 09-14-2006 07:52 AM

that blows balls

i just read again carefully the message that is displaying there. it says VERIFIED document, like passport. but verified. that means that I have to go to notary, pay there fee and then send it to them.

ok, I consider this as totaly unfair behavior from moneybookers. locking my account after getting some money there and want me to lose my time and money because of them. I am basicaly being blacklisted by them, right? :(

No company ever, wanted me to do this. Not ccbill, not even for example interactive brokers required VERIFIED document. So this sucks more than I thoguht, I thought to send them copy of my passport or ID is ok.

They could be only fair enought to me and contact me or at least contact me on my request. Not any signle word from them. Did I lose $800???

I am losing my patience and getting more and more upset!

i doubt they need to be notorized , besides they have no legal authority to verify those documents. send them as is .

amateurczech 09-14-2006 08:43 AM

thats what i did. sent them scanned ID.

the thing is, I wouldn't mind if they locked my account IMMEDIATELY after
opening it and said I need to be verified. But to lock it when after few weeks
some money comes there is not right. And not informing me about it by email and not responding in several days is even worse.
This is not professional behavior at all!

XLCowBoy 09-14-2006 09:33 AM

We use them. It takes time to be verified, but once they know you're for real, it's quite easy.

Also helps to put "please help" in the title. :)

amateurczech 09-15-2006 11:42 AM

ok, got reply from MB.. now let me ask your opinion guys..

if there is written:
Use your account to send/receive money to/from anyone with an email (also people who are not members yet).

on moeybookers.com main page, WHY are they asking me, already 4 times, 3 emails today and once when I called their support, so, why are they asking
WHY DID I OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM?

I guess I opened my account with them cause I wanted to get money from someone or perhpas send money to someone. Am I missing something here?
What their question is good for, ehat do they expect me to answer? And even better, what other reason you can have opening account with them then to send or get money??

SinSational 09-15-2006 12:10 PM

i have money in my account that i can't get to.
i do the 'dummy' transaction, but by the time it shows up in my bank account, the ID has expired at MB.
so i basically pay people with MB as much as i can.

amateurczech 09-22-2006 09:13 AM

I STILL HAVE MY ACCOUNT BLOCKED, MY MO!NEY BLOCKED AND THEY ARE AGAIN NOT RESPONDING!!

Can someone advice what can I do about it please?? I am depressed from this.

Dragar 09-22-2006 09:14 AM

amateurczech 09-22-2006 09:20 AM
