    flying INTO US >>luggage restrictions?

    im flying from canada into the us,
    is it the same restrictions on luggage ie: nothing allowed as carry on except passport n small change?

    the last time i had to pack my pda into check luggage[2001] it got smashed to pieces
    theres no way im parting with my tablet pc!

    Anyone dne this trip recently?
