photo people: i have a lens question..
 
What type of lens do i need for my EOS to make a picture like this:

Fisheye?

Fish eye? Hell no .. if that were a fish eye lens the corners of the image would be curved at best that looks to be a 70 mm ...
maybe a 50 mm but i doubt it the photographer looks to be a good 10 to 15 feet from the house ..

But to answer your question for landscape pics .. your best bet would be a 35 mm prime

looks like '50mm' image but not with a 50mm lens, 50mm lens on most digital cameras really produces 80mm image...

Depends on the camera, if it has a crop factor or not. On my 20D - I have shot many of landscape photos with my 24-70. However like the other folks have touched on, a prime would be good as well. The canon 10-22, 24-105, 85mm... All great landscape lens's. Not sure if this helps or if it's too late... Good luck!:thumbsup

And about the fish eye, if you look at the edges, there is absolutely no bend - so this wasn't taken with a fish eye (no arch) at all...
