Building a paysite is a lot of work
 

Ive finally come to the conclusion that I need to start up my own paysite and I didnt think it would be this much work :1orglaugh

I admire you guys that have like 5-6 diffrent ones!

Just wait until you have a couple and you need to get them all some updates.
I swear I spend all my time uploading.

What I really noticed is that video editing is some bullshit. Not that complicated but takes forever. I think I might just have to buy a 2nd computer to work from while my video editing program is doing its thing.

I always under-estimate how much work is involved in any of the sites i make. I begin and always think of things to add later on.

I am more of the external drive type person now. Sometimes more often than not I end up having to upload psd files, trailers, new templates, and all that crap now.

YA it sure is a lot of work
Just getting together the content and text for the designer to make the site tours is a lot of work
I didn't know it would that hard, but it is to me.

Building the paysite is one thing...

the affiliate program and content take even more work.

It's important to shoot smart with both your photos and video, to cut down on the amount of editing and touch-up you need to do.

I'm so proud when I can rip through 15 minutes of video and just have to do some audio touchup to remove direction.

No matter what how you look at the process it is a ton of work.
But as mentioned above video editing on a second third or forth comp is the way to go.
Get a KVM switch and bounce around.

i wonder if a paysite is a good idea, anyone has some tips? how much should i price such a site? lets say a specific niche...

Best of luck. And once the site is done you'll already want to improve. Not to even mention getting all of your promo tools ready.

If you have to ask questions like that then you're not ready for a paysite.
