You heard wrong. It only hurts if the paintballs are frozen. I played it wearing a t-shirt and got hit in the arms plenty of times and it only left minor bruises. If you've played football or another contact sport, you won't mind the pain from paintball. Maybe you'll whine like a bitch if you're a tennis player or some shit.:1orglaugh

thats a myth that frozen paintballs hurt more.. Paint doesn't freeze..and by freezing paintballs it just makes the shell very brittle. Don't belive me? Try it.

Most places will play at 280fps or less. Play in a tourny when it's 300fps. And you dont get hit by 1 you get hit by 1 and 14 others that follow

It doesn't change the density of the paint when you freeze the paintballs? So what's the point of freezing them? Just to make the shell break more easily?

If I shot you 10 times with a cheap paintball odds are only 5/10 times the paint will break on you from 20+ feet. at 30+ feet 4/10 40+ feet 3 out of 10

If you buy cheap paint but freeze them the shell with become so brittle whatever it hits it will break.

I've tried it and it absolutely kills your body. That said, it is a tonne of fun - especially when you take someone by suprise and keep shooting like a posessed mother fucker.

You can tell i lose every match...

Can remember afterwards my knees and elbows hurt from diving into bushes.
Also I remember from a distance the paintballs would curve when fired, spoils the sniper shot.

I had the best time when i played but watch out for the little kids they aim for the NECK!

Just charge those little fuckers and kick the mask off their face as you spray them with paintballs right in the eyes!

I used to play ALOT when I lived in Norway 6-7 years ago.
I am sure the equipment is much better these days though. I miss playing, only physical activity I ever liked. Besides sex.

I've been playing for 15 years and in the beginning it was hella fun.
But nowadays with PSP mode, ramping and go knows what on the electronic markers, it's just no fun anymore. Any idiot with a full pack can spray you out of a bunker.

Next year it looks like we will be playing tourneys again (only D3). But this time with old school PUMPS. Since most of us have been playing for a long time and couple of us have gotten 2nd and 5th place in NPPL World Cup, it will be intersting to see if experience and old style playing will stand up against todays electronic marker players.

It will be a fun experiment and might get me excited for the game again :)

paintballing is awesome, i try to play ever year in the local army tournament we have... pretty much new recruits who just got back from basic training go against local people so they can have live training without real ammo... pretty fun

my first time was a bitch because i was one of the insurgents in the first houses they had to sweep and i was hiding around a corner crouched down sitting on my heels and one came in i opened up on him, he opened up on me and nailed me in the thigh about 3 inches from my crotch and i still have a welt the size of a golf ball on my leg, that was 3 years ago...

all in all its pretty fun game

also that first time i played killed alot of my trust in our military, was 10 high school kids, and 20 fresh us army troops and they couldn't even take the field when they had 2 people hostage :Oh crap

I've played about 3 times, it's really fun... I got hit in the top of the head one time by someone firing down on me when I was already out and holding my arms up saying "OUT"... I was pretty pissed off, I saw who it was and the dude did not even say he was sorry. So the next round I hid under a volkswagen bus and when I saw the dude who shot me, I shot him in the nuts 3 times and he dropped to the ground saying "OUT, OUT, OUT!" lol...

Hell ya I love it.. Especially if you freeze your paintballs over night ;)

I played with a D3 team in NYC. The frozen paintball myth is BS (only guns that can actually shoot a frozen paintball are tipmans) anyone that paid a premium price for an electronic gun is not stupid enough to put a frozen paintball in there .... if you chop,its a BITCH to take it apart to clean the eyes.

When I play, if i get hit and it bounces, i'm actually more pissed off than if i were to be hit,, BOUNCED balls hurt more!.....

You're right though, you rarely get hit with just 1 ball, unless you're snapping back and forth... more often than not, you get hit with 5-15 balls.

Most sensitive spots are Neck, Back, (specially right below the shoulderblades), nuts and Ass. Arms/legs you barely feel. But most people dont realize that when you're playing, your adrenaline is pumping so much that you dont even feel when you're shot. Doing a run through and bunkering someone is a great feeling. getting bunkered by more than 1 opponent is 1 of those times where you wish it was all a dream :thumbsup

I played it once, a whole day. We were around 60 people and it was organized a s a tournament. Was great fun!

When you wear a sweater and gloves, it doesn't hurt to much.

This year we had a grand opening of our latest field, Toombstone. It's not like all other western themed fields that only has facades. These are actual houses. We still have a couple more houses and a water tower to build, but that will be for next year.

You're right. And the first time I was in situation like this, I decided that I'd never ever join the army if I don't have to. Imagining those were real bullets which won't just hurt a little, but actually kill you is a fucking scary thought.

Yeah, The only one that hurts me really is the knuckle shot I don't wear gloves often

I have almost perfected my snap shooting. 1 on 1's give me the best practices more then anything. Try being shot by a reball Ouch!

I use to play several times a month about 14yrs back...when pump guns were the thing. Nelspot 007 was the gun to use..(very old hand gun, 10shot tube rnds).
Then got into tourns with my team..still pump guns back then, but I upgraded to a Bud Orr Sniper rifle (150 rnds).

Didn't play for since then...but getting back into it again..so had to do a little updating in my gun. Tippmann A-5, man have these guns changed just take a look at how you can mod them up.

I change my gun around to much and I will have the cops around my house in no time if the nosey neighbours are looking.

But love the game..going back into it again like before.

The A5 is a fun marker. I like the one with RT trigger... all mechanical and you can still shoot 15+ BPS, if you wanna do that. But it eat quite a lot of air.

The last gun I bought was an old Phantom, all black and with a bottom line. I frickin loved those back in the days. 2 screws and you have opened the gun, then 3 parts to clean. Can't get more simple than that and the sound from it.... :D
