How much you ppl RE-INVEST in your bizz?

I think this is good question for everyone, couse not many of us are thinking for future and for bizz itself,i know i didn't before.. but i think that right now i am re-investing like 80% of total income, crazy heh:)

The Ghost 09-12-2006 10:11 PM

Not crazy at all. Almost all successful business reinvest a large amount of revenue to build the business.

Exactly, what do you mean RE-invest. Every penny I got is in this biz.

webmite 09-12-2006 11:14 PM

Just a cash cow for me at this time, so it's more like 20% only. Looking to make another push soon so I'll probably go to 50%.

Domains are cheap, but good investments, if you have a database :)

It's a good move to start out about 50% or more to reinvest. Give it at least 3 to 6 months to mature, then re-evaluate your income / expense levels. Adjust them to the needs of the business. If it seems like it is going to take some time to grow... do it slowly and properly. Insure success, don't get hasty and dump it all back in, and hope for the best. Nurture it, and grow it just like you would a plant.

At a certain point, it will be more comfortable for you to re-invest larger sums, to grow with larger steps, and eventually you can take giant strides.

100%

Bluewire Studio is only phase 1 of a much larger plan

Gary_TLX 09-13-2006 12:13 AM

It all depends on how the business is doing, but when I started I reinvested about 90% of the profit for 4-6 months. This went down to about 20% for a long while and it's up to about 30-40%.

Paul Markham 09-13-2006 02:39 AM

Depends what you call re invest. If you meant the day to day expenses of staff, rent, equipment and shooting then about 75%. the rest is ours. :1orglaugh

Barefootsies 09-13-2006 05:48 AM

I'd hazard a guess in the 60-75% range.

Although now a lot of that is going into looking at new ventnures out of porn.

:2 cents:

Pimpin_J 09-13-2006 07:57 AM

As beeing a webmaster isnt my main job ill invest about 10% maybe.. just for licenses and stuff like that. But it still covers my rent and my weekend pleasures :)

Buzz 09-13-2006 10:18 AM

Considering re-investment to be the part of biz revenue you spend on the biz development - I re-invest like 50-60% atm
