A Scanner Darkly
 

Just back from seeing it. Unless I am forgetting something I saw I think it may be the best film I have seen so far this year. Robert Downey Jr. was particuarly good.

yes, the rock vs hammer fight was entertaining

interesting movie. i like it, but never read the novel.

It's been my most anticipated film and it really sucks that I'm still looking for a copy of it. :(

Loved the movie. One of the few PKD adaptions that's really true to the story.

Thats a bummer so many people think it sucks I was looking forward to this movie.

I've read the plot on imdb and it's quite interesting. I'll try to get a DVD of this one.

I've hear it's good. Just need to get to Blockbuster one of these nights and rent it.

From the previews, that movie looked dumb, but siskel and ropert still gave it 2 thumbs up

I'm going to see it ASAP. It's about an out of control police state and big brother. Alex Jones (The father of the 911 Truth Movement) is in it too.

I saw it last week I thought it was ok, not great but watchable. The movie effects looked great.

I think it is one of those films that just won't be for everyone. I like things that play with the mind a bit.

I will admit that I haven't seen Snakes on a Plane so you could be right.

Those who can read between the lines and understand the message that the film was conveying will appreciate it a lot more than those who can not

Last night when the end credits started the girl behind us said 'I don't get it'. I didn't think it was that hard to get.

I think it depends on your IQ level :)

As I said, those who didn't enjoy the film simply didn't understand it

I saw it when it first came out in Boston a few months back.

Didn't know what it was about before going to see it but enjoyed it very much.

I heard is nothing special since it is remake.But i could take a look.

The animators did him a huge favor and moved his face muscles for him.

Orson Welles is best directer i think.

I don't think it was 'too difficult to understand' - I just felt that the method of delivery was a bit adolescent. Utilizing drug culture to send a message about our society is counterproductive imo. Then again it is my opinion that if you want to effect change, you have to be prepared to be taken seriously. :2 cents:

I gotta watch that movie! The effects are cool and I hope it somehow allows Reeves to make up for the horrible Matrix sequels.

Just saw the trailer here...I think I'll enjoy this movie since it has a diffrent touch, and yeah there's Keanu too

I saw the first 20 minutes or whatever it was they let people watch for free online. Looked good from what I saw. That was a great book.

I haven't read the book (though I have a copy now and will read it) but the friend that went with me is a big fan of the book and said it was a very good adaptation.

That was one of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life.

I actually left before it was over.
