In a few cases, users might only be able to burn single copies of movies, or they will not be allowed to download to DVD if it?s been 30 days since a title was purchased. It will be up to each studio or VOD provider to determine which restrictions may apply.

?There are a lot of things happening in the next few years: You?re going to have set-top box players with Internet connections, and you?ll be able to download movies onto your hard drives. But, until that happens in the U.S., this is a great substitute for the next two or three years.? Says Jay.

This announcement of ObjectCube?s latest release comes on the heels of earlier announcement of releasing Version 6 of their Download Manager which allows users to download large movies on the net at a lot higher speed then what is allowed by the browsers, up to 1000% faster.

Do you guys think surfers will download / burn to a DVD and watch it on TV or they are just going to watch it on the PC and jerk off all over the keyboard :-)

most full dvd downloads are at least 2gigs.... thats a hell of download, all in one file.

What is new there ...

Being doing that for quite a while, with so so success:

- Make image of DVD ( 4.2 to 4.7 gigs )
- rar image in 25 parts
- create pars if needed to repair

Surfer:
- Download
- Unrar with Winrar
- Burn image bin to CD with Nero

yeah, vivid video started doing that a bunch o months ago too, not the rar's though, it is all one single file

How about dynamically putting a watermark that?s unique to the person who is downloading it. How about the ability to track a DVD to the person who bought it even after the image is transcoded few times. How about an easy to use one clicks system that does take an mpeg4 image to mpeg2 on the fly and burn it. How about convincing some of the major studios to use your method, how about 3 patents on the deck....welcome to the real world!!

Thanks brad, but I did not invent it :-). We just convinced a company that is doing this on main stream to give us exclusive lic to their SDK in the adult market. They got 3 Patents filed so its not was easy to license it then reinventing the wheel.
