Google link pop & trade scripts question.

Simple question. Does google count link popularity for sites that link to you using a trading script?

For example, if World Sex linked to your site using a link like "script.cgi?yoursiteidhere", will that increase your link pop with Google, or do you lose the link pop because they are using a script to link to you?

Anyone know for sure?

That sucks.

Yahoo uses tracking URL's too, but I guess they are giving you link pop just for being in the directory, not for the actual link, eh? I think Google needs to correct that system as more and more people are using scripts for tracking links. It's only going to get worse from here forward.

Screw that. Google rocks and now the new update makes it even better.

Try building real sites with real content once and see what happens.

why wouldn't it count?

spiders crawl links on the site and if that link takes them to the url than it should count,,,,

but besides TGP gallery links never stay long enough to get spidered really good enough anyways,,,,

most search engines will no longer except refferal codes and trailing extensions, so I hear.:(

Regardless of content, more and more people, from link lists, to tgps, to directories, to PPC engines, to everyone else, are starting to use click tracking scripts. I was wondering how that's going to impact our link pop in the long run. I appreciate the comments from people on this thread. I still think it sucks. :)
