I don't know if it is a good idea to hand over all your data to one big fucking company. They got your e-mail, your search, your calendar, your picture... all attached to one account. Talk about privacy

Problem is that, in most cases, their services are simply the best...

CheneyRumsfeld 09-12-2006 05:00 AM

why the hell would I want to do that?
you are helping Google spam them.
I would set up my own email server then I could control what the surfers are sseing. then I could spam them with what I want.
Duh?

Yes, thats true. But on the other hand they had to hand out Orkut data to brazilian prosecutors.

And they can store all your information forever in one big database and use it for marketing... just read their privacy policy.

There are many who believe that Google's gadgets to keep them in virtually every information stream of a surfer (email, satellite photos, search queries, local hard drive indexing) combined with Patriot Act II make for a great Kafka story.

yes and not only that, the court ordered them to comply with the 1st case as well.

its not up to them though, lets get realistic,if a company is ordered by the law to hand certain data they have no options left.
