Wireless network camera?
Is there anything out there that will let me turn any camera into a wireless camera so it can be connected to my network?
|
Well.. you could hook up a DV-cam with wireless AV etc... but a lot of hassle compared to buying one.

I just researched this, i've found some that will convert a camera to wireless but not wireless as in 802.11 b or g with an ip and a mini server like a regular wireless ip cam.
You can get a dlink wireless ip cam for 116.oo at www.tigerdirect.com I bought 4 the other day and 1 NetTrend one with pan and tilt for like 200.00 |

This is exactly what I'm looking for... something that will let me take any camera, plug in the audio/video cable and turn it into a something I can put on my wireless network. |

"Because the Express 6? Video Server works with any video sources (NTSC or PAL)" its $800 tho. edit: this thing isnt wireless.. you'd need to use a wifi bridge, like a linksys. they're $50-80. |

another one.. i dont see any price info at first glance |

yeah, just order one of them wireless micro cams from china, thn connect it to a video->USB2 plugin, then stream it (sample every 0.4 second is good for any matter)
|
it seems like the 3 major variables here are whether its wireless capable, what the delivery method is (web-based, ftp only, streaming video, etc), and whether it has an audio input

They lack image quality, which is why I'd like to connect any camera. |
