Very touching picture that sums up how many Americans feel today.

Every Sept. 11th should be a national holiday. Something that needs to be done for the people that died on 9/11/2001.

This is truly heartbreaking... :(

websiex 09-11-2006 01:30 PM

It's heartbreaking, but you reap what you sow. I just wish we as a people could seek out the problem instead of just declaring war on "terror".

This country is full of idiots... blindly supporting a war on a word... one ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure. And we are all to blame, each and every single one of us that can do anything about it and fail to do anything. Disgusting really, we should be ashamed as rational human beings and as a nation.

I feel sorry for the child because she is completely innocent and lost her father, but if I died in a terrorist attack I would have no sympathy for myself for I am the cause.

[QOUTE=- Albert Einstein]The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it.[/QOUTE]

Why are people who support war against those who seek to end our civilization "blindly supporting"?

Note on this image, the BBC got the caption wrong, it was Patricia's mother NYC Police Office Moira Smith that lost her life in the attacks. Here is her memorial page: http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/mem...ople/3869.html

Honez 09-11-2006 03:31 PM

That gave me chills.

wdsguy 09-11-2006 03:35 PM

I'm gonna forget, don't need the media reminding me every year.

Matt 26z 09-11-2006 03:41 PM

Almost 100,000 people have been killed in the US in DUI car accidents since 2001. Yet we've mourned the loss of only 3,000 on 9/11 constantly for the past five years.

I feel sorry for these families, but if the media focused on other preventable causes of death ordered by death toll 9/11 would get almost no coverage.

Since 2001 in the US:

Terrorism = 3,000

DUI+HIV+Suicide = around 300,000

For the average American, you are either just plain stupid or 9/11 coverage is a form of entertainment for you. Otherwise you'd demand that more pressing matters be focused on instead.

You apparently forget that the victims of terrrorism were just minding their own business when they were meaninglessly snuffed out. DUI/HIV/Suicide deaths are the result of personal choice. (with the exception of those innocents killed by DUI drivers) Thanks for calling us all stupid though.

UniversalPass Pete 09-11-2006 08:03 PM

Very sad, her and many other children will never know the parents they lost.:(
