My list of great software

Often there are posts with questions about various programs and tools all over the boards and I wanted to share a list of some of my favorite programs that can improve your work speed and quality, if you have a better alternative please post it or add you own favorite programs, here are some of my favorites:

Name: Web Image Guru
URL: http://www.vimas.com/ve_guru.htm
Description: If you need to crop images to a specific size this the best tool to do it. After the installation you can access it by right clicking a picture in windows explorer or you can start the program the regular way and perform batch operations. With this program you can also add various effects or frames to images. A great program to make thumbs for submissions to TGP/MGP?s.

Name: Text Pipe
URL: http://www.crystalsoftware.com.au/textpipe.html
Description: Amazing tool to do search and replace over multiple folder and files, change codes in html files, remove blank lines from various files etc. If you get used to it can help you a lot in many various jobs.

Name: Frame Shots
URL: http://www.frame-shots.com/
Description: Create screen shots from movies files, use sharpen, brightness and contrast. It has a batch option too but I don?t recommend using a batch option to create movie screen shots.

Name: Name Wiz
URL: http://www.softbytelabs.com/us/nw/index.html
Description: Rename multiple files or folders, insert text, search and replace parts of files names, move parts of the file names to a different position, swap, remove?..This one is a great time saver!

Name: Hyper Snap
URL: http://www.hyperionics.com/hsdx/
Description: Make screen shots of your desktop, specific windows or capture a specific region of your desktop.

Name: AVI MPEG ASF WMV Splitter
URL: http://www.boilsoft.com/videosplitter/
Description: Split all kinds of movie files, works quick and easy. As the name says: .avi, .mpeg, .asf, .wmv

Name: Video Charge
URL: http://www.videocharge.com/
Description: Great tool to edit movie files, change the type, watermark movies, compress etc.. This isn?t a professional solution but an easy to use program that delivers good results for most jobs. Works with most types of movies.

Name: JDirPrinter
URL: http://www.spadixbd.com/freetools/
Description: Creates a text file with a list of all files and folders in the specified folder, can list also the content of subfolders and various information like size, date?. And it's totally free!

You're welcome! I've been using it for years. You get 20 free faxes a month, but if you sign up for the local number - you get unlimited #.

I am sorry but most aren't. I didn't find that powerful programs for free what doesn't mean that they don't exist...
