A Hosted Blog is NOT an RSS solution.
 

Nobody but the noobiest of noobs wants to send traffic to a dead end. The whole entire point of a blog is the ease in building traffic, setting up trades, and updating. A hosted blog gives you none of these options and is the equivelent to making a new tour.

If you want a real RSS solution hit me up before it's too late.

The hosted blogs I have seen allow you to use the RSS feed with your ref ID...


Seems like a good way of doing it to me - Wordpress does all the management for you.

That's not what I'm saying at all. You have 0 control of what goes in that blog, what trades there are, etc. You can pull the RSS to another blog but you could have done that to begin with. :upsidedow

Im not sure what you are getting at - its the RSS feeds that I want as affiliate.

As far as the program owner is concerned Wordpress is a perfectly good way of managing the feeds.

We recently pulled our blog from a free adult blog host when they did a 'bait and switch' (breaking my pages, adding new banner/links of their own) - the blowback was quick and fierce from their bloggers and they ultimately rolled back some of their 'upgrades'.

We now run our own blogs on our own boxes on our own servers. It's easy to set up and leak-free.

most programs don't make the hosted blog so that affiliates can send traffic directly to the blog, most program create the hosted blog so that affiliates can pull the rss feed, the blog part of it is just an added bonus

wordpress just makes it VERY easy to set up both quickly

Cool, that isn't what I was reading on the couple I played with. Maybe things evolved already. You still end up with a static feed though which is subpar considering how widespread they are by now. Dunno if you could ever change that with WP.

well, with anything you have two types of people that do shit, those that do it the right way, and those that half assed it

majority of the people out there have half assed it and did it quickly....I stay away from them, it is more trouble than it is worth

the ones that did it right though, did it very right....the mpbabes, nubiles, etc....all solid hosted blogs with great feeds

not sure what a static feed is though....you get an rss feed, what more is there?

Feedwordpress works fine Pete. If there are no images it might be the affiliate feed you are getting.

AutoBlogger Pro works great.
