Moving from this house after almost 6 years.. FUCK!

Last week I talked to our landlords who have been the coolest people to rent from, we've not had a rent increase in 5 1/2 years, we are allowed to do whatever we want in the house essentially.

They informed me they will be selling the house and that we might need to move out soon if it sells... I am so fucking bummed that the place we call home is being sold right out from under us...

I've just about had it with renting, but there are about 4 variables I have to contend with in purchasing a home, including wifes schooling, family proximaty, cost of real estate, and getting some of my debts paid off before I go head first into a mortgage..

I really want to go buy a 4 acre parcel with a decent house and workshop on it, I'm not looking for anything immaculate.. I live pretty simple..

Anyways, today was the first day of pure shock that I had to move, Wed. they are having the first open house, so I'm gonna have a bunch of fucking strangers in my house looking at all my shit... GRRRRRRR.

Anyways, enough on this rant... I shoulda bought 5 years ago when I had a hair up my ass to do it then, but my wife was not sure if it was a good time yet...

Yeah, the MAIN thing is I am comfortable... I don't like moving AT ALL... However my wife and I were thinking that this might be a good thing as now we can look for what would suit us much better now that we have changed our lives alot in the last 6 years since we got married... So it could be a real good thing..

Wow man -- hope you find something twice as nice.

I wouldnt go as far as to say she fucked up, that's a pretty rude statement towards my wife...

She was just unsure, as was I, but I was more eager to make the jump than she was.

gooddomains 09-11-2006 02:26 AM

that's pretty sad

PlugRush Sascha 09-11-2006 02:33 AM

Klen 09-11-2006 07:39 AM

Why dont you simply buy the placE?

jerseygto 09-11-2006 07:45 AM

man that does suck!! but there are so many mortguage plans out there just buy a simple house or condo depending on where you live!!! stay in it for a while wait for the value to go up then either use it to take money out buy something better and rent what you had or just sell and live in what you bought with a lil extra money you got from the first place you bought and sold

beckie 09-11-2006 08:03 AM

It's a buyers market, so it's an advantage buying a house now. Good luck in finding a place! :)

Boobs 09-11-2006 08:04 AM

good luck to you man

UniversalPass Pete 09-11-2006 08:06 AM

Don't worry, it will not sell that quick! prices are coming down big time!
You might want to look into buying it, make a low bid offer, you may be surprised!:2 cents:

During the open house just leave a bunch of sex toys(flehslight vibrators whips) out around the house and then leave porn on all the computers :)

They are asking too much for the place, and they refuse to discount it even with the rent we've put into them prior to them wanting to sell.

RobbieRye 09-11-2006 08:53 AM

DH has bought a ton of houses Media. He knows a few tricks, but especially what to look for in value.

Might be worth hitting him up - I'm sure he'd be happy to give you a hand.

You can do nothing about that. I just hope you'll enjoy your new home. :)

Terry Brown 09-11-2006 07:26 PM

Why don't you offer to buy it from them. You problably get a good deal from them.
