Can anyone recommend the best place to go to sell adult domain names and complete adult sites? Getting out of the business and want to sell my websites and all of my adult domain names.

Brown Bear - Just listed the appraisal value that I got from domain2trade.com. I don't expect to get NEAR what they quoted as "appraisal value" but on the same hand I don't want to get ripped off either!

Quiet - I currently run 2 paysites: internetpornbible.com and butchonfemme.com. All other domains point to IPB. Sexdot.com is my first site that I bought about 5 years ago.

Gary - I know. I think they over rate everything to get you to pay $100.00 for a "professional appraisal" and then tell you they're worth $30.00 after you pay.

No, I didn't pay anything. I used the free service on their site. You fill in the info and based on the number of letters and a few other items they come up with an appraised value. That was the point I was making.... They give you a high figure to reel you in then after you pay they probably tell you something much lower. I have a non adult business that is doing very well so I want to get out of the adult business, sell my sites and domain names and use the money towards building a house. Phil from XXXwebhosting recommended I look for advice on this board. That's where my adult sites are hosted. I have everything on a dedicated server with his company.

Kmanrox - How do you come up with 2K?? I owned freeadultsite.com and sold it for $10K and that was one domain name without any content. Some guy contacted me and asked me if I was willing to sell it. He offered $10K and I sold it.

In my opinion, you were very very lucky. We buy domains all the time and FreeAdultSites.com is worth nothing close to $10k. It's 3 words, it starts with free, and it doesn't get close to enough searches. I wouldn't pay $2.5k.

Man... I never new domain names sold for so much... I think I'm gonna have to start hunting for some more cool names... would a .net domain be worth as much as a .com domain?

.Net domains are worth almost nothing unless you own sex.net or something else short, one word, and extremely popular. Even then, it's not worth 1/100 of the .com. Stick with .com if you are serious about domains.

It just valued one of my domains (teensexfreaks.com) at $52500. If only...

Yeah, and we all know how that story ended. The only way you are going to lose a generic like that is if you aren't willing to fight for it. In fact, the guy with sexdot.com is probably more likely to be granted a trademark than sex.com these days.

Wow that appraisel site is awesome. Awhile back, I was thinking of selling my domain. The best offer I got for the domain name alone was 20K. This site told me it value is higher.
dabombxxx.com has an approximate appraised value of 63700 US Dollars . So when I think of selling again it'll be for $63,700 I wonder how much I can get for "olwhores.com" I'm serious about getting rid of that one.

For those of you who don't know. I'm joking about the potential this site has for accurately predicting market price. Price of domains are based on SE exposure, amount of current traffic, and sometimes what content can be acquired with the name. Figure out how much you make from a domain in a year minus expenses and multiply it by 2. Some x by 3, and that should be a fair price.
