I was watching the Steve Irwin tribute on 60 minutes

Animal Planet on Foxtel/Aurora seem to have abandoned normal programming to loop the same one hour tribute program for the entire day.

haha, i thought that too actually. the little information button just had a new 'Steve Irwin Tribute' starting every hour. It's actually not the same one though, it's all different videos about his adventures, the making of his movie, etc

one of if not THE best racing driver in Australian history
raced for HOLDEN (generl motors)
he won the bathurst race i think more times than anyone (imight be wrong- allan moffat may take that trophy)
after his tourung car career ended he raced in rallys-always in holdens.. usually toranas..the old car he made famous

in australia-if there was ever a car show or auto commercialon tv or campaign against drink driving u could be sure brocky was the face of it

i grew up with his poster on my door....and i dont even like holden! (it's a ford thing...aussies know what i mean)

I actually met the man once (at his place) and he was soo soo soooo different to what i'd ever imagined.

lol - yeah, I was of the same notion too. Kinda how you expect Mick Doohan to be aswell... None the less, it was still the most interesting encounters i've had in my life. :thumbsup He'll be sorely missed along with Irwin.

I'm pretty sure the man you're talking about is the guy who designs/ed the car that the aussie Peter Brock was driving.....
