good question!!

GrouchyAdmin 09-09-2006 09:18 PM

Taking a hell of a lot less 'candid' shots? :thumbsup

..but seriously - dev time would take forever, it'd cost more to produce, and you sure as hell wouldn't have any daily blogs..

tony286 09-09-2006 09:18 PM

you shoot with a cannon? Must get messy lol

DamageX 09-09-2006 09:32 PM

Yes, I mean WTF, how did they even take pictures, before digital cameras were invented? Shit, they must've had drawing artists put everything on paper meticulously, and each model shoot would take a week or two, in order to get a full 120-pic set... I mean, WTF where they thinking, not inventing the digital camera sooner?!?

tony286 09-09-2006 10:22 PM

there would be alot less amateur porn because the cost would too high to start.

cspdinc 09-09-2006 10:44 PM

we'd still be making money like crazy cause all the crappy sites wouldnt exist and it would be just those that really really were dedicated in the biz. Photography was a art form. Does any one know what med. format even is anymore?

I like digi too. its fast easy and lets you take those questionable shots becasue it doesnt really cost you a darn thing. But it makes for a lot of junk too.

so its good and bad.
But I'd say I quess I'd have to lean toward good. Its a quainty world versus quailty it seems.

And no I didnt spell check this....

Im just surfin between photoshop 3d work

Mutt 09-09-2006 10:49 PM

ATK, DDGirls, Suze and others did great with film. Film still gives a quality digital doesn't but there aren't many using it anymore - think FTV Girls might shoot some on film - or did anyway.

venus 09-09-2006 10:51 PM

Still using crappy webcams... check the date stamp on my webcam shots

Someone who understands.

We used film before digital and it was a little harder to get it right, but it seems more of us did. :1orglaugh

For those who can use film and shoot porn it would be great, for those who think they can it would be "Are MacDees hiring?" :1orglaugh

I don't shoot content - it's for family and fun.

Made me think, how it would suck to scan content for updates ..LOL

I started my first web site shooting on film. What a pain in the butt! I didn't develop my own film, so the cost for developing was not cheap, and then I had to spend hours and hours scanning in photos.

Shooting on 8mm video meant having to convert from analog to digital, but that was hardly worth it considering the limited hard drive space and processing power of computers back then.

Of course, since most surfers were on 28k or 56k dial up modems, video was not much of a factor back then either.

God, I love digital...

Interesting topic.

SGS 09-10-2006 02:59 AM

We started online before digital cameras. We used to spend hours scanning pics but when the first Nikon Coolpix came out and we used it for the first time it was a very special moment.

that's the truth . . wouldn't affect me at all. I started with film and I can still shoot film . .

aico 09-10-2006 06:23 AM

Would be shooting on a Nikon F5 using Kodak 160VC & paying a buck a scan. Cuz that's exactly where I was before digital.

Quotealex 09-10-2006 06:26 AM

So you were online before 1991? That's when they started making them:winkwink:

I have Sony R1 for my familly and friends. I like it very much. And not costy.

Peaches 09-10-2006 10:06 AM

If there were no digital cameras and I wanted to make big $$$ in the industry, I'd be selling darkroom materials ;)

My brother LOVES to take pictures. Before digital, he'd take 1000 for every 50 he showed of his trips. When we were in Alaska he took over 2000 digital pics.

But now he's getting into antique cameras and is setting up a darkroom in his basement. You can really get some interesting effects w/o the use of a computer with the antique cameras :)

E$_manager 09-10-2006 10:44 AM

My friend took her old Zenith and sarted shooting. Amazing! She made great pics, not those that a small digit do/
