Sponsors that pop up shit that you won't get paid for
 

U know what I'm talking about? You send them a surfer and they pop up 5 fucking windows from theird-party sponsors that you obviously won't get paid for. The console free PPS pays you $5 less. I'm thinking... fuck.. I'll opt for console free since the CF will probably convert better for me and my traff won't go off to 5 places where I don't get paid. What do you fools think?

If you don't like it, don't join the program. Upselling is normal business practice and it happens all the time. Nothing you can do about it really.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that why the payout is different from a no-console tour?

Think of it more like you can get $5 more per signup if you allow them to show consoles instead of $5 less for cfree and you will feel much better

Alright, let me put it another way...

$25 no console / sale and you get 25 = $625
$30 / sale and you only get 20 because you lose 5 to consoles = $600

Don't you feel better for having not lost those 5 sales? A huge difference there. The difference of only one sale. Now imagine you didn't lose a huge 20%... imagine like, 5 or 10 %... and now you're making more.

i thought i made a thrread about this sometime ago, about how consoles have your links in them still. but thats not 3rd party.

i think programs should do all that they can to get you sales. because if sales pop up from programs you dont even know, then you think, hey this sponser fucking rules. and your making more money than u even knew about and I would have thought you would be more likley to stay with them.

I was getting a lot of flack for having links to other sites on our tour. So as I knew what they brought in I took them down.

If the guy you sent does not buy what you sent him to then there is a very slim chance he might buy something else.

Or did you think sponsors are making a killing having you send him traffic for one site and he makes more money sending it somewhere else?

Actually, if you're getting $5 more per signup for the "with console" tours, you *are* getting paid for the pop ups.

check out GTS console broker & you'll see which sponsors sell their console traffic.. this is a good indication that they're primary & ultimate priority is generating webmaster traffic for the purpose of profiting off of exit consoles.. The way I figure it, if they're so desperate to sell that traffic, then the site itself likely converts like shit, does not retain or rebill.. Of course they're offering you higher payouts for the with consoles traffic, because deep down they know the surfer will not join their site, but will click something or buy something from the exit consoles :2 cents:

Try both, console free and console on your traffic and see what makes you more money. In theory more surfers should sign-up on clean tours, but I doubt there is a big difference.

It never ceases to amaze me...
 

That the adult web business model is the only one I know of that thinks its a good idea to piss off their potential customers. To me popups are too much like spam and send the message that the site might be less than trustworthy.

I guess Microsoft and others didn't have anything better to do so they added popup blockers, not because there was a need but just for the heck of it.

Anyone else noticed a trend toward console free sites? Leading the way seems to be the larger more reputable programs.

Surfers don't always join on the 1st visit. Throw a popup at them will they come back for another look? I sure as hell won't. I'm gone forever.

Sorry to destroy your illusion, but exits are just a bonus. You are not losing many surfers on the exits, for sure.

Pleeeease, mainstream is much much worse. Most mainstream sites have so many damn pop-ups and mostly to absolutely different products, that its really annyoing. Adult pop-ups have at least a little logic behind them, if you don't like the paysite, the pop-up offers you other paysites.

If you don't like consoles, promote the console free version and put your own consoles (via frames)...

unfortunately there are a good number of revshare programs who do this as well. i can see for pps, but revshare..no way.

send to console-free and set up your own console-chain.

Everyones business model is different.

A site can charge an avg $35 and up a month to be a member. They actually have a quality product where the customer brings in enough or way more then that $35 payout.
