have you ever bought anything off a infomercial. Late night paid programming

seems like the only thing on late at nite is paid programing..

what have you bought off TV?

I have never bought anything yet off an infomercial

wdsguy 09-09-2006 12:11 AM

naw never have.

fallenmuffin 09-09-2006 12:11 AM

Nope.

Get a dish I have 800+ channels... there is always something on, movie channels, pay channels, other channels that have broadcasting 24/7. No reason to watch that bullshit anylonger.

Doctor Dre 09-09-2006 12:13 AM

I have once and it was worth it. some kitchen tools.

Sly 09-09-2006 12:13 AM

A friend bought me a rotisserie off an infomercial and I love it.

I spent like 30 min ordering 3 Wild Party Girls DVD for $10 because I thought it was TV competition for Girls Gone Wild but by the time they went through all the UPSELLS GGW commercials were playing. Then the Express Shipping UPSELL or 2 weeks Ground shipping?. I canceled the order & they shipped anyway ChargeBack credit. Then recurring DVD $24.95 ChargeBack credit. So 4 free DVD's of chicks flashing for t shirts & hats unbelievable.

Do you think girls will flash for LocoLatina Tshirts or Hats?
The URL LocoLatina is For Sale if anyone is interested.

I still have Ginsu knives from about 15 years ago and they still cut steak and soda cans like butta....

Jace 09-09-2006 12:39 AM

We see shit we want sometimes and will go on ebay to get it, much cheaper and don't have to deal with the upsells and "pre-checked" cross sales

woj 09-09-2006 12:57 AM

I always thought 99% of the time they sell useless crap...

:thumbsup
I like your style.

notabook 09-09-2006 01:25 AM

I do what Jace does, if I see a product I like on TV (case in point most recently was a Bullet Blender). Instead of paying like $140.00 on TV, got it on eBay for like $50 lol.

free4porn 09-09-2006 01:29 AM

nope never

TB_Sean 09-09-2006 04:17 AM

I have been very close so many times but sanity grabs me just as I reach for the phone and I recover swiftly to not buy.
Oh the regrets!!!!!!!!!!!

GrouchyAdmin 09-09-2006 04:20 AM

"AM Gold" - the full set, as a present for my folks. They loved it; and evidently have forgotten all about it.

Klen 09-09-2006 04:48 AM

Nop never bought anything there

ServerGenius 09-09-2006 04:51 AM

I haven't my wife has....a Magic Bullet Blender......and of course it sucks :1orglaugh

bausch 09-09-2006 05:00 AM

I've been tempted to buy that slicer thing that slices up all your vegetables and cheese, I think it's called "magic bullet".

And another infomercial was for that beer chicken tool, some object where you put beer on and a chicken over it and then bake it. Looked real good.

They did and they would actually be good if whatever you put in it wouldn't
stick to sides of the jar that's on top. Any food apart from dry cookies doesn't
fall back on the blades so it doesn't chop like it's supposed to do.

So chopping an onion is more hassle and takes twice the time than if I just use
a knife.....and I'm slow as fuck with a knife lol. Anything you put in with fluids
or oil is even worse. Unless it's water only.

It was a good investment though as before my wife ordered I told her. If it's
shit you won't ever buy anything ever again that's on shopping channels. So
it was well worth the investment :1orglaugh

MaLayLaH 09-09-2006 01:33 PM

I bought that pasta express thing, it was crap. :thumbsup

madawgz 09-09-2006 01:36 PM

Peaches 09-10-2006 10:14 AM

Oh shit, I've bought everything they've been selling since the infomercials came out. Tossed most of the stuff after a few uses (do that with things I buy at stores too), but I LOVE my Little Giant Ladder :)

psili 09-10-2006 10:17 AM

Ultimate Chopper -- best chopper / processor or whatever it's supposed to do (according to my wife). Thing lasted a year, though :(
