Is this SPAM?

My friend gets tons of email from guys on AOL asking her for her pic and to meet her ect.
So, is it SPAM to send them links to a dating site or a webcam site ect?

DateDoc 09-08-2006 09:23 PM

have her make a profile at a site and that they can contact her there and send them there with your ref code. :)

Shaze 09-08-2006 09:26 PM

go for it....test it out.

She responded to an unsolicited email and sent them to a place where she had pics up they could check out. In my opinion answering an email is not spam. I can't see anyone getting in trouble for this and if someone sends her an email all she has to say is that she was being bothered by all the crude emails she was getting and sent them off to somewhere else so as to lessen the harrasment she was enduring. If you dont want to do it tell her she can use my ref code. :winkwink:

That's a good defense.

I think no.

fallenmuffin 09-09-2006 12:03 AM

Most likey.. because its probably automated and they send out tons.

However if she gets a few a week from real people with real links to their profile. Then its free advertising. :/ Maybe.. god damn you

Ah, missed that part.. tired.

I wouldn't think so.. no more so then you emailing me about information and me referering you to google

Edit: You'll want to make sure the dating sponsor allows email traffic.

Thats what I think, if people want pics of her, then it shouldn't be 100% free, offer some "upsell" links :)

Ace_luffy 09-09-2006 12:42 AM

just test it...........

sicone 09-09-2006 12:47 AM

If I got it and didnt sign up to get it, I would consider it spam.

free4porn 09-09-2006 01:43 AM

HpicAnn 09-09-2006 09:27 AM

I don`t think so... They contacted her first!

kinetic 09-09-2006 09:39 AM

I think it might be considered unsolicited advertising , some programs will close your account, some won't...

Good point, but does anyone know who allows unsolicited advertising email?

sickkittens 09-09-2006 10:33 AM

It's a fine line but more than likely you won't win the argument if it comes down to that.

madawgz 09-09-2006 12:26 PM

try to make some money from them :thumbsup
