Yet another clever (and drawn out) MySpace marketing campaign
http://www.latimes.com/entertainment...-entertainment
The "slick" feeling is a hint. But the "smoking gun" was the CAA address. LOL Talk about creative......and drawn out. Yet another brilliant piece of digital age "anticipation marketing' |
Quick correction: Its on YOUTUBE but pimped via MYSPACE and other social network sites.

Very interesting read! Amazing what companies are using these days to create a buzz.
|
Bump for all the creative marketers out there.
|
Interesting... thanks for the link :thumbsup

You always seem to be right ontop of the latest and most creative pieces that crop up.

I love reading about viral marketing like this.

pretty cool stuff for sure.
I mean like the article said, it worked for Blair Witch..hell it worked for Snakes on a Plane too.. |
MYspace marketing suck
|
Lol, "Lonelygirl15", is there any screen name that screams out "fake" and "spam" more than this?

She's hot

When they discard her, some sponsor should sign her. She would be a money making machine.
|
The second video gave it away. The editing is just too slick for that to be a real 'amateur' user-submitted vid. Much better editing than that "Ask a Ninja" series lol.
|
nice, i knew it was fake the first time i saw them. the editing/effects and subject matter were to good for an amateur 16 yo. It reminded me of good music video.
|
Here's an update on all this: http://www.latimes.com/entertainment...-entertainment
The creators make an "admission"...well, sort of. |
you just ruined my day.. This is like finding out the Easter Bunny isn't real.
I have been following her for a while. I don't think the slick video editing gives it away. There are many amateur videobloggers whose editing skills extend far beyond the average. but yeah..er thanks :Oh crap |
confirmed..see the video https://youtube.com/watch?v=et24KNCbkF0

Saavy!!!
|
Thanks for the article. It will be interesting to see where it all leads?
Those Marketing People, I tell ya... LOL |

TOTAL LIFETIME GROSSES Domestic: $32,177,290 69.7% + Foreign: $14,003,101 30.3% = Worldwide: $46,180,391 um...not quite...hehe |
Latest update on it: No big studio, no pre-movie suspense, it's actually an exploration into "interactive storytelling" http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...iewed-homepage
At this point, I wouldn't be surprised AT ALL if it indeed gets picked up by a studio. :) |
Awesome read.
