It's a mild anabolic steroid that doesn't aromatize over to estrogen or have many unwanted side effects (if any at all).

It's used for race horses and stuff but its pretty common for humans to use something like this in conjunction with something more androgenic like testosterone.

It also increases your RBC count which helps improve your VO2 max - I bet this was a key here.
