FreeSite Standards?

I'm looking to start creating some Hosted FreeSites for our affiliate program. I have never made or submitted a freesite before, and looking through past GFY threads has been of some, but not comprehensive help.

I'd like to offer the best product I can, so everyone's opinion is welcome.

1. I am looking to find out if there any minimum requirements for freesites for submissions (i.e., number of pictures, number of pages or galleries, pic vs. movie galleries)

2. Do you have an opinion on the amateur look of many freesites? Does the DIY aesthetic appeal to surfers more than a well designed page?

3. What features or tools would you like to see in our freesites?

4. Is there any new technology you haven't seen, but would like to, in freesites?

Thanks for your time. Help us help you make more money, and we can all "live the island life." :thumbsup

The majority of linklists follow the rules used by Greenguy. If your sites conform to those rules, linklists will use them.

When it comes to hosted freesites, linklists will often even bend the rules a little. I'd recommend doing two versions; one that complies with the standard rules and one that bends them a little (4-5 links per page, pics on html pages, etc).

Just keep your pic under 120kb, don't make any links that can be missleading (like click here for more) and keep them clean.
