How many of you still live "at home" IE with mom in her basement

Seriously, do you live with mom and dad? This is for scientific purposes only.

BusterBunny 09-06-2006 02:09 PM

they got old so i moved them down to the basement and took the upstairs so i couldn't hear their whining for shit like food and depends.........

shake 09-06-2006 02:10 PM

xclusive 09-06-2006 02:38 PM

I live with my wife and 2 kids soon to be 3 kids any day now. My mother also lives with us, She's a retired teacher and took care of me and my sisters by herself when I was little so it's my turn to take care of her.

bobby666 09-06-2006 02:43 PM

moving out from parents, was the greatest day in my history

Wow... that's awesome man. Not many would do this for even their parent.

nAtuRaLbEautY 09-07-2006 06:55 PM

yeah, i still live with my mom when i'm at home but I live in a dormitory with my roomates within the university campus (in my collegedays)

Shortbread 09-07-2006 06:59 PM

I live on my own. I have NEVER in my life understood how a grown adult, ie anyone over 20 can live with their parents for any reason. Time to grow up. Ever see the movie Failure to Launch?

Viper2K1 09-07-2006 07:15 PM

I'm 26 and live with my mom :thumbsup
well actually, my mom lives with me as i pay all the bills
Just happens to be like this after my dad passed away ... it's the right thing to do
The house is more than big enough, no real privacy problems if you set some rules
In time I'll get her a nice place of her own, but for now, it's the right thing to do.

bausch 09-07-2006 07:18 PM

I know people who are almost 30 and still live at home even though they could live alone. I think their parents prefer them to stay home so they don't get "lonely" plus the so called "kids" (not really kids) have more disposable money to spend because they don't have to pay full rent/bills.

headless ghost 09-07-2006 07:19 PM

I don't live in the basment.
too cold and drafty.
I tied up mom.
she lives in the basement.
she don't complain.
much.

Digipimp 09-07-2006 07:21 PM

the real question these days is how many never moved out. its one thing to have a parent live with you or live with a parent to help them out and all of that kind of stuff for whatever living situations. but there are some people who never left to start with.

dissipate 09-07-2006 07:23 PM

I miss my moms cooking =(

headless ghost 09-07-2006 07:25 PM

why leave?
its warm and cozy here.

KrisKross 09-07-2006 07:28 PM

I was out while I was still making minimum wage plus a few bucks a month from porn, shortly after my 18th bday. No way was I gonna mooch off my parents.

aztecboi2003 09-07-2006 07:29 PM

Was married for 8 years. Came back from Korea in 2003, wife was pregnant by some dude. She took my 2 kids and left. I was at such a low point in my life. Had no family and no job, I just got out of the military. I was very unstable, my parents took me in and I've been with them ever since.

Sad but true. :sadcrying

StickyGreen 09-07-2006 07:29 PM

Hell ya! I'm sure my mom would let me move back home anyday (I am 24, moved out at 19) but there is no way I would even consider it... plus my dad wouldn't let it happen. :)

OG LennyT 09-07-2006 07:36 PM

i actually live on my own right now, and currently in the process of moving into a 3 bedroom house, along with my mother, no... im not moving back home with mommy, me and my mom will become ROOMMATES, because she lives on her own, and needs help paying bills... so i decided to become her roommate... i own half the house, and she owns the other half... just as if it was another person... but happens to be my own mother

buddyjuf 09-08-2006 12:10 AM

mommy daddy and 2 brothers yo

no rent to pay, no meals to pay, and we all get along just fine

no complaints here!

bl4h 09-08-2006 12:18 AM

I moved in and out about 5 times, but am now back with my mom. Roomates/girlfriends are nothing but anchors. Ive got more money to invest, and less nonsense weighing me down.

Work now, play hard once i make it :)

Deraj 09-08-2006 12:25 AM

My dog was kind enough to take me in after months sleeping under the fire escape of a rough trick named Mack. He felt sorry for me, and took pitty.

fallenmuffin 09-08-2006 12:28 AM

I live with my sister at the moment.. getting my own apartment very soon.

free4porn 09-08-2006 12:56 AM

Nothing to be ashamed of. You're never prepared for when you leave the military, and with the horrible circumstances you came back to, I don't blame you for wanting the support of family.

Sexsitesurfer 09-08-2006 01:04 AM

Lived with the missus for 2 years now.

Lived on my own or with room-mates before that ever since school.

madawgz 09-08-2006 01:08 AM

Dont' forget curtural differences. In many cultures it is considered normal for parents to stay with their kids for life and the kids to take care of them when they are grown up (which is good IMO).

I (comming from such a culture) have NEVER in my life understood how a grown adult can ditch their old parents (who spent their youth caring for you) to old age homes when they most need you. I surely woudn't want my kids to do the same to me.

shermo 09-08-2006 02:11 AM

I live in a house with my wife.... But I bought the house right across the street from my parents :)

I'd hate to be away from them... They are the 2 people in the world that will ALWAYS be there for me as long as it is humanly possible. :)

salesman 09-08-2006 02:18 AM

I live with my both parents and my older brother, I give it about 2 years to leave the house with my gf.

polish_aristocrat 09-08-2006 02:31 AM

I live alone, noone loves me

pussyluver 09-08-2006 02:54 AM

Been living with with my significant other for years. Have been married twice and didn't seem like the thing to do again.

My sister has a son living at home. She and her husband put him through college. He's 25. No job, no car and still gets an allowance. Not a popular situation. He spends hours on the computer. Not sure on what? If it is porn, that would sure be a surprise. Maybe watching porn to j/o.
