The Google Sitemap Plugin is definitely an essential one. Boosts your SE traffic within a few weeks and is very easy to use!

Although I wouldn't call Autoblogger Pro a "plugin," per-se (even though it does, in fact, show up in the plugins list of WordPress), I'll mention it here.

Also, "related articles," and as Russian & Sarah said, the Google Sitemap Plugin (which is installed with Autoblogger Pro).

I just save my blogs as HTM and put it to my server. I have yet to find any plug ins that are "very easy to use", but I'm still a beginner.

My first blog was blogspot. It was so easy, I told the company geek I wouldn't need ANY help with the WP project. Boy, I ate those words.

So when roy explained to me that spiders don't read php, and the only parts being searched was the header, footer and side bars, it was clear I wasn't really understanding the big picture. Saving it as HTM and posting it, was the simplest work around, till someone has the time to tutor me.

It is frustrating .. all this learning so late in my life ... 2 years ago, all I knew how to do with a computer was type, chat and play games. :Oh crap

Anyway, I should know better than to post anything that has to do with the world of the geeks ... I'm usually only half right. So frustrating to have computer skills that any Jr High kid could run circles around.

Don't know right from wrong, but since I started saving it as a htm page, the SEO hits doubled -within a week and when you goggle my PSO name, both my blogs hit the 1st page.

Sigh ...

by default wordpress do not publish pages with META TAGS - what is the best plugin for this ?

also enable the mod-rewrite default function.this is a perfect feature in combination with the sitemap plugin.

Akismet - Spam prevention workhorse
bsuite - for quick stats
Head meta description - already mentioned
Optimal title - rearranges post name in front of blog title
Related posts - returns related posts for the current entry shown
Sociable - Puts buttons for favorite social media sites at the end of post
Simple Tags - Easy way to add hahahahahahahahahaha tags to your post
