Its a good thing I won't even be on this continent for the 4th of July. You just know them terrorists are itching to cause some major shit on that day.

I just got back from Vegas looking at houses to lease. I found one on the NE side of town and will be moving there around the 1st of July.

I can imagine that being a prime target area and I thought about it quite often while driving through the town.

Take New York New York (the hotel/casino) for instance.

They have over 2,000 rooms in that hotel alone...that could be up to 8,000 registered guests not to mention the visitors in the amusement areas, the casinos, resteraunts etc.

If they were able to take out the one hotel imagine the kind of physical, emotional and financial devestation that would cause...let alone take out that block including the overflow of people out on the strip.

There aren't too many places in this country where you could find as high a concentration of people as you can on the Strip on a regular day vs a regular summer weekend...I can't imagine what it will be like there the 4th of July.

Definitely the casinos. There's a shitload of money goin' thru there. Everything they're against is in Vegas.

For Foreigners Vegas is a Landmark. It represents Capitalism,
freedom, show, nudity, fun, etc, etc. I would consider it a very
likely target. By the way fanatic religious groups talk like that.
Just play back the Osama tapes....so it wouldn't suprise me.

Also it's a relatively simple target....tons of tourist from all over
the world visit Vegas...the Airport is very...very close to Strip.
If they would get a plane right after take off or prior to landing
there would be nothing that anyone could do...

Why would you go for the hassle of creating bombs, buying
stuff in order to make it, transport it, etc, etc. Call me stupid
but a plane is a huge flying bomb especialy when it's filed up
with fuel...even with all strigent security measures it's still
relatively easy to hijack a plane.

You're right, but I doubt that it will be another attack using a plane. Too many eyes on the airports. We didn't expect the planes flying into buildings, so I'd bet that it will be something that we totall are not expecting. Catchin' someone w/ their pants down is the best way to go about it.

There are plenty of houses in that area...I'm on the outskirts of town in fact the county...I found an okay 3 bedroom 2 bath house in a cul de sac out there.

I hope you're right....but hijacking a plane can be done barehanded with 3 to 4 people. That's quite hard to stop...
