So I subjected myself to the MTV VMA Awards
 

I was doing some work last night, and I happened to channel surf over to MTV for some reason beyond me, the VMA's were on so I figured why not. Here are my thoughts:

Where the fuck did all the rock music go? Since when is the "rock" genre full of pussy-footing fags (no offense to teh boyalley) wearing womens eye makeup with emo haircuts who cant sing? (ie. Panic! At the Disco, Fallout Boy, and the rest of these new breed of asshats). The only real rock band that won an award last night was Avenged Sevenfold.

Yep, things are much different now. Shit, I remember when MTV meant Music Television too.

I remember the good times, but they're long gone. Anyway, I often ask myself if the new generations will think the same thing when they grow up.

MTV sucks sooo big time these days. Not only the music they play sucks, even their series started sucking donkeyballs! Date-My-Mom, Room Raiders and what the fuck their crap is called is so boring.

mtv has been in the shit for 10 years. i gave up on em and i should be watching it to see what is hot in society. i dont give a fuck anymore. the vmas were horrible. probably never watch it again.

Guess what? It isn't that MTV sucks... it is that you finally grew up a bit and are no longer interested in TV aimed at 14 year old girls.

After the first 30 minutes of "Ye-ah, ye-ah [something unintelligible] bitches, ye-ah, ye-ah!" it become sort of repetitive.

I am sick of seeing the "ghetto lifestyle" being paraded as something to emulate.

Dude, I completely agree. The only reason Rap is so popular right now is because they are the only ones that aren't pussies and still have the rebel spirit. Most straight men don't want to live the lifestyle of the Fallout Boy looking guys. I mean, when they leave the stage they don't look like they get hot women and make money. They look like they would get their asses whipped in a bar fight. I sure as hell wouldn't wanna be fighting with them.

As superficial as all of that sounds, it is at the root of the problem of Rock's popularity. Crue kicked ass, made money, fucked hot bitches and didn't give a shit what you, me or anyone else thought about them. So did Bon Jovi, so did The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and on and on. I'm willing to bet The Rolling Stones still live a more exciting life than Taking Back Sunday in their old age. I'd rather be Keith Richards than one of those fags. That's a sad thing to have to say.

That's the root of the problem. When rock stars start being men again we will see less rap at the MTV awards. I can't wait until that day comes so it can even things out. I think the world has gone a little crazy trying to emulate ghetto youth. It's sad really.

But until that happens... pledge allegience to The ATL and shine up your grillz nigga.
