Why is making galleries looked down on?
 

I don't understand why it is considered a lowly activity to build galleries.

Can someone help me wrap my mind around it?

Probably because i tried it, failed miserably to get listed, and ergo passed my crapness on.

Everybody in here make $2k a day at least, drives a Vanquish and fucks more than Hugh H. himself.

Nothing wrong with it! It makes good cash for those who knows how to do it, and it is harder to do it now, than 2> years ago... When I started in this biz, I got shitloads of traffic from submitting! But now, you need partner accounts! Submitting with chameleon submitter WITHOUT partneraccounts wont even make you a dime!

Lol who gives a shit if people look down on it? If you're making money that's all that matters. Do whatever works for... I do just fine building galleries. Not my main source of income, but it's one hell of a good supplament and I haven't been doing it that long.

From what I've read that's how many got started. Then they moved on to other things. So if you're "still" building galleries, it's like you're still in grade school to them. So they only show little respect. That's how I made sense of it. I've been wondering about that myself.

cause everyone is millionaires by just coming to GFY....why would anyone actually want to work?

I build all of my own galleries and I recieve alot of traffic though promoting them across the net. Not to mention, I get many signups from the galleries. Of course, there are many other ways how I promote my website too but as long as you are able to make galleries that look good then of course, there is nothing whatsoever wrong with making and promoting them.

because you're giving it away for free. using content instead of marketing skills to sell something.

screw the haters submit those galleries, for the amount of work you have to put in once you know what your doing, you'll get a pretty dam good return... and its not like your spending 20 hours a day on it 1 hour a day and your golden

2+ years ago I made over 1k a day doing galleries, and things are only getting worst. I don't see it being a very reliable job for the future.

There's nothing wrong with doing galleries.

I can name with my fingers the sites I depend on for sales.. shemp being one of them...

Making quality galleries for your own freesites is a goldmine :)

I'm very happy with the portion of my income that comes from gallery building. :)

I just have seen it used on here as...like an insult or a slur...and that never made much sense to me.

I do great with galleries ... Submitting, Building and making money off galls ...
I make several hundred dollars a week off a few hours... It's like free money

I say it's always good to keep building galleries and tours. Keeps yourself in the "feel of things" even if you run a program/paysites.

I don't care what people think. If they want to see me as a low life because I build and submit galleries so be it. At least I'm not scamming people.
