Buying girlfriend an MP3 player, IPOD, Creative Zen?
 

Any help is appreciated. She will be listening to a lot of books on it. And some music of course. Should I get her the Ipod, or is something like Creative Zen just as good?

IPOD is your best bet.

Zens are better but keep it simple for her and get an Ipod.

i got the Zen Nano and it works nice for me. super small, works with a standard battery that can be changed when empty and no need to install any software, just drag and drop the folders on it like on a harddrive. i don't want any itunes or shit like that on my pc. but the ipod is certainly more "stylish" and costs about double

Spend the extra bit and buy an ipod, the design alone make it superior to the competition. I would also suggest the 30gig or even the 60 as you can never have too much space

Ipods are my favorite from experence. If she's mostly listening to books - you don't need high bitrate mp3s - meaning you can get away with a much smaller amount of storage space. Probably a 1 gig one would hold a few books.

Also - if she's exersicing with it a flash-drive based player would be better (ipod nano/shuffle or hundreds of other brands of the small little rectangular ones)
