Here are some guide line rules.
You cant sleep on the street in Holland. You cant drink in public or smoke in public places. You are allow to get as stoned as a grasshopper, no problem. You are NOT allowed to have more then 3 GRAM of weed in ya pocket ( that'll be arround 30 Euro of weed ) You are allowed to have a great time in Amsterdam, but all is done these days to make laws work. We have a indentification duty, keep passport always with you. Amsterdam is filled with pocket thieves, pls be fucking carefully, cause they do good their job, and you will be crying your eyes out. For the rest : SIM cards ( prepaid ) from off a few Euro Instant placed in ya unlocked phone ( can be done in Schiphol ) When you arrive in Schiphol, and your baggage is lost, take no stress, they will be helpfully and send your bags to Hotel, no reason to flip out. Train, Cabs, you find in the same area as your arrival gate. Bleu boards above tell train times to Amsterdam, your close ..... You will not like the Euro prices, everything is expensive, but for the show masters not a problem. You pay for coffee now 3 Euro easy. beer 3.50 sigarrets 5 Euro and so on... Everyone in Holland will be nice when you speak English ( not Germans ) 80 % of Dutch people speaks English, mostly you recognize the Hollywood english. Police is helpfully, they are in bleu, carry a gun. You can approach them anytime for their services. Mostly they are not there when you need them, so ... ehhh Geuss that was a useless tip For emergency : 112 They will ask what you need, fire, medical or police. and in what town Say ex. fire, Amsterdam, hotel "burnit ", and you are straight on connected to firedep closest to you Don't be a fool and go ask for numbers when you have a heart attack..... For the rest, we welcome you masters in The Netherlands Enjoy all you see, smoke some weed if you like, experience the red lights and have a drink in the Bananas Bar. If you need personal info from us regarding visiting Holland, pls ICQ 323817538 |
Everywhere is close in Amsterdam basically. The Krasnapolsky on Dam Square is good. Ask for a room in the new wing. It's maybe 2 blocks from the show hotel. If that. 10 mins walk.

I'm staying at the HOTEL DE KOOPERMOOLEN . According to the map its should only be a couple blocks away (I hope).
Its not a 5 star, but I was looking for something cheap reasonable. |
