100% Revshare On VOD - How?
 

how can any VOD site offer a 100% revshare promotion when their content providers already are being paid by % of sales - so the content providers know about this or signed off on it to let webmaster affiliates have their chunk of the revenue? interesting .............

Maybe it's only 100% on the first purchase and not the recurring purchases? Or maybe the VOD site has bought the rights to use the videos outright for a flat fee instead of the producer getting a % ?

Just two thoughts why/how :)

obviously you are referring to Adult Renatl Cash, so heres the deal. They are paying based on 100% recurring from aug 15th to sept 30th. So, any member that joins and pays, you will get 100% recurring from those dates. Or you can get $50 a paid join regardless of the amount they join for. How are they doing that? Well, its simple math. They are hoping that the member will stay past that period. Up until Sept 30th, its a losing proposition for them, but if you have any knowledge about Platinum, you would know that they have deep pockets. They are hoping that customers will stay past Sept 30th and at that point they will start making money. I am a top affiliate with ARC and i can tell you that they dont shave, so dont even go there. I have placed several orders via proxy and pre paid debit and all the sales have shown up. There is nothing fishy going on, they are just counting on members staying longer than the Sept 30th promo...

and i am telling you that it will be their content providers who have no say in this promotion and whose content will be given away. one thing i know in this industry - content providers always are taken for granted and come out on the bottom end of things. the content costs AdultRental NOTHING - so hey why not just give it away to build up affiliates and traffic.

i'd love to hear from the studios and producers how they feel about 100% revshare at THEIR expense - not the programs since they paid NOTHING for the content.

and the argument will be - well the more affiliates and traffic a VOD program brings in the better for the content providers - which is a bullshit argument because what is happening is that AdultRental's promotion is directed at taking affiliates from other VOD sites who are NOT offering any 100% promotion.

bottom line is the content providers are footing the bill for this extravagant promotion and I am betting none of them were consulted.

Ok "marketsmart" Your 90% correct, the 100% revs hare is for the life of the user, and is 100%.

We pay the studio % out of our pocket on this promo.
As you all know we are backed by Platinum Bucks so paying the studios % over and above the 100% to the webmasters was factored in to the cost of the promo and all studios are being paid their %.

If the user buys a $49.95 package we pay the webmaster $49.95.
Also Any users that signup from the 15th of Aug - the end of Sept. webmasters get 100% revs hare fro the life of that user not just on the first time they buy.
IE.. If the user were to buy on the 1st of sept then again some time in Oct they the webmaster also gets 100% of that.
As long as they were are new user and created and account with in the dates of the promo (15th of Aug - the end of Sept) the webmaster will get 100% rev for the life time of that user.

All other payments get paid out of our pocket this includes studio payout, processor fees... etc..

- All of our content providers will be paid out exactly what they are owed. If we run a promo for the webmasters we do not expect the content providers to pay a dime for it.
