CCBILL .. check out this pattern.. call me crazy :)

18 hours with not even a single sale and then the sales starts comming in like insane.. there is no way in hell this is a normal thing.. we ONLY see this kinda behaviour with CCBILL..

We had no server problems in those 18 hours and all other sponsor sales were normal...

These new sales are all a good mix from different sponsors .. so no "big paid spot" starting off or something...

This has been brought up time and time again by various people and I have yet to see a real response... Or maybe I missed one.

ProjectNaked 08-31-2006 11:40 PM

it was a "solar flare" :food-smil

I was thinking the same thing, this isnt the first time i've seen this.

OG LennyT 08-31-2006 11:53 PM

tough luck?

BIGTYMER 09-01-2006 12:00 AM

Yep.. Solar flare indeed.

Fetish 09-01-2006 12:12 AM

Why not compare with the actual stats and let us know what you see?

Tempest 09-01-2006 12:13 AM

Actually I know sometimes they batch shit up... So if the 18 hour hole is followed by a large number of unusual signups, then it's probably just the batching.

V_RocKs 09-01-2006 12:36 AM

I have brought this up a lot...

A few times I got really loud and others got on the band wagon and suddenly CCBILL said their was a problem and signups came pouring in...

But mostly they denied there was a problem and did a test signup... Great... Like it started working again, what is a test going to prove now? Do that shit WHEN the signups aren't coming in...

corvette 09-01-2006 09:02 AM

yet anytime anybody does a test sale, it comes through

ccbill isn't the only company to do that. - nothing wrong with it either. just the nature of the game.

amazing how some people freak out though. shows how dumb they really are.

batching isn't always he processor's fault either - often it's cause of a delay on visa's side or the bank's side.

best way to know if there's a probelm is to look at stats week to week - not hour to hour.

:2 cents:

media 09-01-2006 09:09 AM

We notice this all the time with not just ccbill....

andrej_NDC 09-01-2006 09:13 AM

Do you remember the old thread, where you posted the ccbill test? To prove they track every sale properly. Not 1 sale got lost, everything was fine. It was more than a year ago, I think, thats why I can't search for it. :)

Barefootsies 09-01-2006 09:15 AM

I have the same thing happen from time to time with my other billing companies. Not often mind you, but a few times a month maybe. I personally think it has to do with the mail server.

I will have a lull in the day, and then next thing you know, BAM, a bunch of sales. Sometimes same company/site, sometimes different one's.

But maybe you are referring to their control panel, not e-mail notifications?

:Oh crap

pornguy 09-01-2006 09:16 AM

Try and search the board. i remember seeing something like this before here

V_RocKs, what i was referring to was that whenever we had gotten complaints about this issue, the sales 'holes', (in most cases) the minute i hear about it, i pull out my own personal card and click the link and signup, just as a consumer would, in some cases from home, and the transaction goes through and the affiliate gets credit.

biskoppen can verify this

squishypimp 09-01-2006 01:24 PM

hmm...very very strange. i will have to check into my ccbill records.

Most likely because it's the sponsors that he promotes that use CCBill and not himself.

Boobzooka 09-01-2006 04:07 PM

If it helps, paysite owners see the same thing. Periods of calm, then a flood. Nothing to be worried about. Just updating in batches for whatever reason.
