Ikea claims the photo wasn't tampered with...here's the real story...

Horst Gustavsson sat in his cubicle in IKEA's headquarters in Älmhult, Sweden with a nasty scowl on his face.

He should have been a happy man. His boss Arne Johanssen just told him that he would design the inside cover of the new catalog.

Graphic artists at IKEA would die to be in Horst's position. Most of them were lucky to be doing catalog pages of kids' furniture near the back of the book. But Arne offered Horst the inside cover of the catalog. Inside??? Was he supposed to be jumping for joy?? Everybody knew who would be doing the front cover. Inga Karlsson - that blonde slut who used to be in the steno pool.

One day, Arne takes her out to lunch and the next thing the staff of the Graphic Arts Department knew, Inga was the lead artist. Was it any secret Arne was banging her? Hardly.

But that wasnt the only thing bothering Horst. It was the way the whole IKEA company treated their employees. He had to build his own cubicle, for God's sake! His first day, he was led to an empty spot on the floor and given a pile of flat cartons, a screwdriver and a cheap set of allen wrenches. He even had to build the damn swivel chair. For the first three days he worked there, he sat on the pile of boxes. God, he hated IKEA!

He glanced at the color separations for the inside cover photo. Typical boring Swedish crap. Two kids playing with a dog on a bed that was so flimsy they would be lucky if it lasted six months. $39.95 at your local IKEA. Hey, you get what you pay for.

Sighing, Horst headed for the company cafeteria and lunch. Swedish meatballs ... again... God he hated this place!

After lunch, a quick stop at the men's room and a visit to the urinal and he would be back to his desk to finish working on the stupid photo of the kids and the dog. As he stood at the urinal, staring at the wall and thinking, his face suddenly lit up. YES! He had an idea. Could he do it?

Sure, with photoshop you can do anything. Should he? Hell yea, IKEA sucked eggs.

Whipping out his cellphone, he snapped a couple quick pics and headed back to his desk. A few brushstrokes with the old mouse later and it was done.

Arne wouldn't even notice. He was way too busy trying to get underneath Inga's dirndl skirt to worry about what the rest of the staff was doing.

Grinning to himself, he pushed the SEND button, shifting the completed image over to the printing department and sat back, with a satisfied smirk on his face.The cheap IKEA chair collapsed beneath him. DAMN he hated IKEA.

It wasnt long before the catalog would be out. The covers were always done last. Inga was way behind schedule and the catalogs were already late when she finally submitted the cover design. It was printed and in the mail within two days.

Horst left IKEA soon after, of his own volition, secure in the knowledge he had really pulled one over on the crappy furniture giant.

His girlfriend Ursula received the book a few days later and gasped as she opened the book to the inside cover. She would know that dog's "leg" anywhere.
