My partner's ex is in town, and we're going out to dinner with him tonight. No, I met my partner when we were young, and have been together for almost 8 years now, so I'm totally secure in my relationship. However, going out to dinner with my partner's ex isn't exactly my idea of a great way to spend an evening. I mean, the guy's ugly as shit now, so there isn't even any hope that it'll break out into an orgies... :Oh crap Cripe Mighty. Question: Would YOU go out to dinner with your significant other's ex? I go to dinner with Donny and his ex and THEIR son all the time.... It is a very strange experience for sure. You will be uncomfortable the whole time, trust me but like you said, never a need to worry.

I don't find anything wrong with it. Just dinner and that's all! If I feel something might go beyond after the dinner date, I wouldn't give my approval for the night out in the first place
