You still haven't found what you were looking for?

there is a reason that packard bell computers failed in the states so badly after the mid 90's. I dunno if their laptops follow the same course... PB computers were notorious about using PB-only components and were almost impossible to upgrade.

I so noticed too.. not that easy to find those replacements..
but i must admit.. that looks good...

no, thats not good to buy. the p4 chip is not good for laptops. by the looks of the system it looks like its about 2 years old. its most likely using the old northwood processor rather than the prescott processor. the fx 5100 is not a good video card. also your laptop running time will be about 1.5 hours max with this config. imho i'd go with a duo centrino or even a single centrino. it will outperform the p4 even running at a slower clockspeed np and will probably cost you less than 500.

looks pretty good but I would check. Ebuyer.co.uk can find a few good deals on there too.

The P4 chip simply does not belong in a laptop. You will have heat issues and reduced battery operation no matter what.

This would be your best bet

Still not much of a fan of the keyboards on the macbook pro's, love the keyboard on these macbooks though.
