I have an LG Modle LW70 Express and its a great little work horse although I Think its a little more then you want to spend

macbook or macbook pro

Now that Apple Intel processors, and you can use Bootcamp, I'd go with a Mac Book Pro, but then again, I'm biased.:winkwink:

does all that stuff work well now?

what about driver support once you're in windows for all the hardware? (video, especially?)

and whats that new thing that lets you run both at the same time in VMs? is that out yet?

Never used a mac before so would rather stick with what i know

Unless you are going to really use it for mobile I would never get a laptop again. :2 cents: They all fall apart in a little over a year from my personal experiences and friends ...

My generic (Asus z70v) has been working for me, pretty well.

Try SONY VAIO. I have a 17" one and it's great. Try to get the latest models with duo core.
