LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) -- Nevada state troopers found one of the FBI's most wanted fugitives, along with wigs, cell phones, laptop computers and more than $54,000 in cash, on a highway north of Las Vegas, authorities said Monday.

Polygamist sect leader Warren Steed Jeffs, 50, was a passenger in a red 2007 Cadillac Escalade that was pulled over along Interstate 15 shortly after 9 p.m. (7 p.m. ET) Monday.

People expelled from the community said young men were sent away to avoid competition for brides. Older men were cast out and their wives and children were reassigned by Jeffs to new husbands and fathers, the former members said.

Mmmkay, so I watched that clip there..and I'm amazed that kinda thing can go on.

..and it also boggles my mind how you people call muslim sheep, and religious fanatics and then have this kinda people in your own country. I bet these guys would cause just as much havoc as some extreme muslims if given a cause 'worthy' of their time and money..
Of course only a very small percentage of american christians are fucking idiots like these, but as far as I know.. not many more muslim are fanatics either. Pot calling the kettle. :)

A few months ago there was a show on the BBC about the cult. I find subculture fascinating and it amazes me how groups like this grow. There is also a book 'Under the Banner of Heaven' that talks about groups like this. Why the gov't has more or less allowed kids to be abused is beyond me. Now they have a huge compound in Texas..sound familiar?
