Is church street around the eaton centre a safe place to live at? Ive only been there during the day.. maybe at night its not so great?

If you are talking about Church near Queen St then you are talking about one of the hell holes of the city - I really wouldn't recommend it - DrinkingHARDEST is referring to Church further North in the Wellesley area.

the building is located right between yonge and jarvis so its not as far as queen st.. really close to a hospital I think.

you might want to look down in Queens Quay or the new City Place buildings at the skydome.

yeah, I found a great place on front st but some other fucker nabbed it before me. Got some other places lined up there but like to keep my options open :upsidedow

by st. michaels hospital? its not te nicest unles you live at the pantages! Yonge and Jarvis is okay in the day time but night time gets pretty sketchy.. anything east of yonge gets pretty sketchy after dark.. 32102501 if you want to talk. i live in the west end by the annex

Even back in 1980, Church was pretty scummy. The swarming on Yonge St started in mid-80's and now they're up to drive by shootings on Boxing Day (killing shoppers).

I miss my old Toronto.

Its not really that bad compared to other major metropolitan areas, I used to live in Detroit briefly. now that was fucking bad..

No more than 1500, but Im only looking for a 1bdr apt so should be able to find a nice place! I just really want to know what areas to avoid.. Ive found some cool places but would suck if Im afraid to leave the house after dark.. lol

try the annex or little italy. its the place to be. lol

I agree with you on that - there are much worse places, and per capita, I suppose it serves up just the appropriate amount of mayhem (or less).

Even Vancouver (esp. Surrey) is becoming a hole as far as violent crimes go.

I lived downtown. Bay/Bloor area.. It was safe. I've never had any problems.
