am i understanding 2257 correctly?
 

before i get to deep into making my first adult site I want to make sure I understand 2257 correctly, and avoid trouble.

if i promote a certain program that is 2257 compliant i have nothing to worry about right?

what about linking out to or embedding that probably isn't compliant since it might just be an amateur tape or something that spread across the net? can i be responsible for that even though it is not hosted on my server/site?

any other tips/suggestions?

as long as your 2257 is proper you should have nothing to worry about. you might want to get as much info as you can when it comes to models. give out all that a program has to offer. just incase.

hmm, i guess i am more curious about whether embedding material that may not be 2257 can get me in trouble, or linking to it etc? i am not going to actually be getting models or anything.

if youre not using sponsor materials and dont have the 2257 info yourself then you could run into trouble, afterall if you've just swiped a video you found on google what's to say that person gave their permission for distribution or was over the age of consent?

linking to material would be less problematic well...as long as youre not linking anything totally illegal!
