Do sponsors accept/care about search engine spam?

I see a ton of search engine spam sites. Do sponsors accept this traffic with out canceling accounts.

What do think about SE spam?

In a way i hate it but technically its the search engines who cant filter it out these shitty sites.

Are you kidding me, youre an idiot.

Im asking a question if sponsors would cancel accounts for this.

Wiggles 08-28-2006 06:51 PM

why they make sales from it.

It would always come down to a decision based on what is best for the business. If it is not illegal per se and it is making money...i think most would allow it.

IF a big stink were to arise from it, most would distance themselves...at least publicly

A lot of sponsors don't even pay attention to SEs

SmokeyTheBear 08-28-2006 07:11 PM

what is "search engine spam sites " ?

I think in general that term just means " anyone ranking above you "

Anybody that has good rank for decent keywords has done it by optimizing their site for the search engines.. this is against most search engines TOS .. so technically , almost everyone is "breaking the rules" but hey google is breaking my rules and i dont complain to my sponsors that they should "blacklist" google

bigmacandcheese 08-28-2006 07:21 PM

i guess it depends whether they are using white hat or black hat style techniques and what the risk factor for the sponsor is of legal action

Wtf? :1orglaugh

Google is just one site who chooses to list other sites as they see fit. Why should a sponsor care?
