video editing help
I'm trying to edit a simple video and render it using some crappy software I bought . (videocharge)
The problem is the outputted video is completely choppy and terrible image quality.. I've tried messing around with a few different format settings but nothing seems to work properly.. can somebody tell me what I should be using ? Thanks a shitload!! |
Well if you are outputing in .wmv I find 768k stream works well.

use sony vegas 6... easy to use.. i did all my trailers on that software ...
if you still have problems .... hire me for a cheap trailer :thumbsup |
Check your frame rate... if it's too low, it will look choppy.
edit: nevermind. lol |
Premiere or Final Cut Pro with AutoDesk Cleaner is a good solution.

do you have all programs closed and not do anything on the computer while rendering?
|
Usually if video is coming out choppy it's my CPU too maxed or memory (RAM) full. If it's not those I would try another video editor. I also use Sony Video factory - pretty good results and brain-dead easy to use :pimp

i tried videocharge
piece of crap :-/ regret buying it invest in sony vegas or you can hire it out to my wife who does video cutting and minimal editing |
everything is closed yes, and the computer is decently equipped.... and just processing small files
I had vegas 5.0 previously but switched to video charge for certain files because some of the files are being picked up by vegas with no audio layer... but videocharge picks up the audio .... very weird and I'm not sure what it is ? Possibly some file corruption? my friend has adobe premiere elements 1.0 that he's not using .. is this any good? basically just watermarking is the main thing its being used for (donross thanks for the offer I will keep in mind) thanks again mike |
What format is the source video?

what format are you starting with? AVI, MPG, or other???
CICO = Crap In Crap Out -- If you are using already encoded or processed video, it is degraded every time it is encoded. Video only gets worse the more you work it. Try using the original captured file or as high quality as you can get. :thumbsup |
Unfortunately for this videos its going to be a little bit of crap in crap out ....
they are WMV's and I have no choice.. I had decent quality with vegas, but now that its not working anymore ..videocharge is crap .. is adobe elements 1.0 a good enough version of adoble elements to do watermarking with ? |
Output a small chunk of it to an mpeg with the same bitrate as the wmvs you want to make, or an uncompressed avi and see if it's still choppy. If it's not, take that small chunk and try to encode a wmv with that and see what happens. vegas video is a great program, you should try to get it working again!
