I lost a friend in the Comair crash
 

I just found out that I lost a friend in the Comair crash in Kentucky.

Charles and I grew up together and we used to fish off the Naples pier almost every day. Back then he was just a little smart ass kid that wasn't afraid to steal the last shrimp out of your bait bucket lol.

Our lives took different paths after high school. I moved away from Naples but I would still see Charles every so often as he lived down the street from my brother. Charles was the type of person that was always looking for a way to better his life without ruining someone elses to do it. He was well respected by the Naples community and will be sadly missed by all.

It continues to mystify me as to why some people can taunt and cheat death without incident and others that embrace life and try the best they can to be safe are taken away.

I guess you can hope for tomorrow but you need to live like today is your last.
