i may be behind on this one but just heard about it last night from a couple girlfriends, pretty freagin nuts if you ask me!

my cello friend here says he went under the fence....

there is no dent in the fence, and if he went under it then why didnt the cops just do the same?

Pretty cool. The video looks like someone actually used their video camera on their TV.

The fence is moving at the end. I think it was open when the car came and it hit it enough to swing the gate back and lock it.

as a note to other this is not a gated fence it is a sturdy fence, like one around a school basically. he semmingly goes right through it

Those chain link fences can be really floppy if there's not a post every 8 feet or so. I'm sure he just blasted right through it and it bent up no problem and snapped right back down. Seems obvious right? lol

very weird .. you would think the cop would just push through it and continue the chase .

i dont see a fence just snapping up, when you drive through a fence you either bust it open or knock it over, i dont know of any fences that just bounce back.

also if you notice its a long fence, a fence that length cannot just bounce back up, it is to long to spring back up.

I saw it 2 days before. I don'r htink it is seriouse, because why should cops videotaping it ?
But still it was rather scary.

I thought for sure it was going to be one of those videos where you have to turn it up really loud, look real close at it then all of the sudden something jumps out at you and makes a loud noise and scares the shit out of you. I was prepared for that. :)

I think they video tape all of them for liability and evidence.

id have to guess it is a dash cam? dont cops tape alot these days because of all the claims of police brutality etc.

the video is real i am 99% sure, just the question is how the hell did that car seemingly pass through a solid fence untouched.

I'm not sure where your from but just about every police force in the US has dashboard Camera's in there car . they record everything ..

well if the video is 100% real and i were the cop i would have stopped to think WTF just happened, i would not want to ruin the scene of a possible ghost car going through a fence.:)

its pretty obvious that the fence wasnt strapped to the posts. making it easy to drive thru and then it just goes back down. you can also see a reflection. someone was videotaping their tv.

look at 1:47 the fence is detached from the one post, when he hit it the fence just sprung back to the post.

Normally if the fence was totally surdy and you ran it over it would be mashed but it looks as it broke from the post on the left side and bounced back.

im sure the cop would be able to tell right away whether or not it was rigged, and i def. dont think court tv would have shown it if it were that simple,


but how the hell could it be rigged? lift it up? pushed down? i just dont get it. the fence seems to not move, those fences are not light and this one specifically is very long.

look at how long that fence it, how on earth could just 1 part pop back up? if he hits it and it disconnects it falls, its a car it would run it over.

seriously for a second imagine a car running through a fence, the fence would noticably be moved and knocked over.

ive seen a few cars hit chain link fence and it pop back up with no problems, but this looks like it broke right on the joint where they connected the ending piece to the new starting piece.

Easy the fence drops into the ground and pops back up. Why not show it the next day? Because they want to make it seem like a ghost for ratings in reality they just got tricked.

pretty much, people escape law enforcement in chases all the time but you never see it on TV and when you do its from some redneck place that says "OMGZ LOL GHOST CARZ"

you see this i dont agree with, because the cars tires would have knocked off the bottom "connection" part of the fence, and the top would be plowed through by the car.

the ENTIRE fence would be shaking from the force of the impace of the car hitting the fence, it is not shaking at all, it does not appear to even move that is why it is indeed a crazy video.

im not saying you are wrong in my opinion i do not think that is the explanation.

lol.. watch the video another time and use your judgement.. the fence isnt moving and the car even go straight thru the pole.. A more plausible explanation would be an optical illusion...

exactly, i watched it like 50 times, it does not move. a car is a major impact, no way it just tapped it over and it popped back out without any shaking of the fence.

for those of you who dont know how a chain link fence works:

you drive between the posts (figure 1) and the fence ties (figure 2) hold the fence onto the posts. if the fence ties arent there in the first place, or you break them while driving thru the fence it gets lifted up by the car, you arent going to knock over the posts by hitting just the chain link part because the posts are cemented into the ground.

theres this thing called gravity plus the fact that theres other parts of the fence still tied on that brings it back down to where it was before. the cop either was too stupid to drive thru or he just didnt want to scratch up his car.

has anyone ever seen anyone lift a fence up while someone else crawls under? same concept only a car goes under the fence instead of a person.

i think the fence would def. be AT LEAST dented, and the car is going directly through the middle of a long fence, i dont see it just "bending back" when a 2 ton car going crashing through it.
